To address some of the posts. Was there last night, have no idea what people were watching. Darnold looked like what we've been hearing he was at practice. Why not, this was a practice folks, teams are trying to learn, trying shit they might not ever run in a game. But some fans think he should look like Rodgers. It was obvious that the D threw everything at him at times and never got flustered. He's a rookie in his first week of camp, all of 4 practices and is playing at a higher level than we should have expected. All the talk of fumbles after one strip sack that the OL shouldn't allow or one bad throw after a good throw is pretty funny

I like how this is on the back shoulder because he saw there was room to run. There were lots of little things like this on his USC tape that made me want him. Encouraging to see it at practice.

I was at the scrimmage as well. I thought Darnold was solid in the pocket, was able to move around and extend plays. At times held the ball a little too long (took a few sacks), but no one was really getting open. The secondary didn't allow anything really all scrimmage. Deep ball accuracy can get a little better, but its only his 4th practice. The TEs played great, loved Walford and Herndon as well. I like what I saw from Darnold. However, I did not like what I saw from the offensive line.

The defensive line dominated I thought, Fatukasi and Sheppard were making plays. Cannon fought all scrimmage long, I really like that kid he's quick. Of course Darron Lee got embarrassed by Powell lol

Sounds like there's a really good chance Darnold will be under center week 1.

I hope that "sore" is not a cover for something more extensive that hasn't been confirmed yet. Why a walking boot just for soreness? More concerning because its injury bug Beachum we are talking about....clearly we don't have capable backups either so this one would be major.

Np. Team looks like they are having fun and as time goes barring any Injuries they should gel great.

Agreed. Hard to decide, was the OL that bad or the DL that good? lol

I do wonder, given the number of sacks we saw Darnold (3) and Teddy (4) took if a QB knowing hes not getting knocked to the ground will hold the ball a little longer, longer than he would if he knew he would get blasted by a defender from an opponent?

Defensive line is well ahead of the offensive line that's for sure. I felt like some of those "sacks" could've been completions in a real game (Hansen had a nice grab I think that was called back), but I am sure they are holding onto the ball longer because they aren't actually getting hit. I think that plays somewhat of a role, agreed.

Very classy of the Jets. I read about this yesterday and got truly emotional.

Classy is right. Loved how the players embraced it, wasnt like they forced into it. They enjoyed the little guy as he enjoyed running with them

Decent sized crowd last night at Rutgers. I wonder how well they'd do if they played one of the preseason games there? It'd be a throwback to the old days when they could not play any preseason games at Shea, and would often play on college fields. I'd bet the annual Jets Eagles preseason game could draw well there. That area is between between both cities.

They'd never do it, since they'd be forfeiting the mandatory parking passes sold ahead of time to all season ticket holders, not to mention how they'd have to handle the ticket sales.

The refs were blowing the whistle real early on those “sacks”. There was one I remember in particular that Teddy threw a dime to Hansen in the end zone that it looked like to me he was stepping up in pocket but they blew the whistle.

Its just nice not having Christian Hackenberg and Bryce Petty in the QB room this year.

I was so sick of the callouts from fans to give them playing time. It was so blatently obvious they werent the answer.

And fans who blamed Bowles for not playing them. For accusing Bowles of being a coach who wont play youngsters. Ignoring the fact that neither Petty or Hack deserved to see the field. Any field.

Looking for some help. My son got an autograph last night while leaving the stadium but we have no idea who it was. He had one of the legends polos on and signed as #35. Seemed pretty young and was still in shape. Any help would be great!
