No political comments! If you think people think that the uniforms are the main reason we suck, then you're dumber than the people that you think think that way.
The taper of the stripe is what makes it look updated and new rather than old and staid. Gadzooks! Now people are complaining about green helmets in addition to green pants. smh
Not in the case of the Jets it isn't. It would be one thing if the Jets had a tradition we could be proud of, but with the sorry ass history of this franchise, the further we can distance ourselves from the past, the better.
One thing is certain , there’s going to be a lot of unhappy fans when they do the unveiling... you can’t please everyone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Traditional looking uniforms in general are much nicer looking than the new age crap Nike has been designing. If you don't believe that, just look at any Florida team. In terms of Jets tradition, I'm sorry you feel that way, but distancing the team from it's roots is a terrible idea imo. I want the team to win it all while resembling the same uniforms that Namath wore when putting the AFL on the map.
Do you guys really want Nike to redesign our uniforms into something modern? Case in point, Miami has always been a fruit basket, but damn now it's almost too easy to make fun. And don't get me started on those alarm clocks in Tampa.
Not bad (minus the faux wing stripe across the front). Do they come with green pants?....no?......not bad at all. Edit: off-topic: Who doesn't belong and why? 1. Stokes 2. Rollo Tomassi 3. Charlie Kelly 4. Mary, Queen of Scots .
ROFLMAO!!! Too funny, joe! I don't know the answer to your question, but am intrigued to learn the answer. LOL
Correct, Mary Queen of Scots was 5'4" http://forums.theganggreen.com/thre...es-to-another-board.87505/page-2#post-3512818 .
One of the other things I hate about most modern jerseys is the team name emblazoned (in miniature) below the shield. We don't need "Jets" underneath the shield to know that they're the Jets.
Forget Mr. Crotchety's usual put down, I was using that partiular quote as a "connect-the-dots" tool. Besides you know I luv u Stokes, or Rollo, or Charlie ("I haven't posted in 3 years)" Kelly. . . : )
I've always hated those crappy looking green helmets. They looked like shit from day 1. Nothing "now" about it.
The traditionalist point of view is understandable. But not everyone feels this way .Younger fans like the modern designs.Personally i like both. Theres something to be said when a team’s brand shifts w the times.Certainly not very frequently but it provides depth of perspective from one era to the next. To this stage in their history i think the Jets have nailed it.I appreciate watching NFL films re runs & seeing all the different jet looks. It instantly takes me back & brings things full circle. W. The ability to have an alternate uniform from year to year theres no reason the jets cant still mix in Namath era or Sack exchange era including in a future super bowl. But i think a progressive franchise like the Jets..w a name, colors city so bold that a new look to add to the arsenal is more than justified
What makes people actually believe that Nike will design our uniforms? LOL really? Miami designed those uniforms, we designed ours.
I still like the unis Adams was endorsing on Page 2 of the thread. Very simple, but classy. Reminds me a bit of the Bills new/old unis they brought back a few years ago. Kind of classic and clean without the modern nonsense. Of course, I may just be old.
