Hate hate the really big logos. If we’re going matte, white OR green and better not be some half fade crap like the Jags.
I gotta respectfully disagree..not because im oppossed to letting go of the past all together & doing an all new green & white but simply bc ive never seen anything better. A green team called the Jets w the “NY” initials should have unlimited possibilities for a logo but it never seems to come together.Rightly or wrongly that logo is the best on field representation of the Jets.
colleges do a great job with the uniforms, i often turn on a game while watching another just to see what the teams are wearing these days. seeing michigan come out in all maize was pretty cool. wouldnt want to see it every week for the next 10 years but it was a fresh uniform for that day. i think thats part of the problem,other than a few that have changed a bad uniform design pretty quickly nfl teams tend to stick with what they have for a long time. college teams will try something and then not go back to it the next week if ever again.
Why do people believe that Nike will design the uniform? Who knows, or cares, who submits designs when ultimately someone within the Jets will decide which design the team goes with. Always sounds like fans think the 3 billion dollar team will be told what they'll dress like moving forward.
Or why the Packers, Bears, Browns, Titans, Cowboys, Giants, etc didnt? Not every logo has to be so literal. We did have a logo for awhile that included a Jet
LOL True, but that was back in a more "innocent" age and when their name was associated with LaGuardia and passenger jets. Since they are now in NJ and the connection to LaGuardia is in the ancient past, they need to adopt a logo of a sleek, modern jet fighter or bomber. Your point is well taken, however.
Yes, I'm quite aware of the bolded sentence, thank you. In fact, we had two of those...one early that was pretty dopey looking, and then one in the late '70s-'80s that I loved and still would love the Jets to go back to. As far as the teams you listed above, what would be the point of having a meat packer or a Brown (or whatever the heck that is) on their helmet? I never said that every logo has to be so literal, either. Those other teams logos are fine or I don't care about them. I only care about the Jets and their logo is dumb and ugly imo.
Those unis would probably make me start rooting against the Jets or root for another team until they changed unis back to green and white and got rid of the black.
Well if we’re letting the fan base decide. This is what we will get. Whenever I go to any Jet event, I’ve never seen so many potatoes in one spot. Pinnacle of human evolution.
Agree with all of his. No confidence the Jets will get it right. These should be subtle changes with a modern take. If we get Tampa Bay numbers or anything in “volt” color from Nike, I’ll puke.
I agree that it's interesting to see college unis, but I shake my head at the money they waste, especially for some of the downright awful unis I see. I think the Univ. of Maryland is the worst and has the ugliest unis I've ever seen. They've probably wasted tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of dollars in design and uniform costs. To begin with their state flag is atrocious, and when they want to start putting it on their helments and unis, someone needs to say enough is enough. The Univ. of Oregon isn't far behind, either, imo.
I could see that for color rush, rather than those ugly all green uniforms, but other than that, no thanks.
Get rid of green pants?Wear all white? Nothing too modern? Do we all even root for the same football team? Green was what drew me to this team so far as im concerned the more green the better pants included. Id also applaud the team for doing something bold & eye popping w the new unis.If i wanted to root for a stick in the mud unimaginative traditionalist id have been a Giants fan.For better or worse the jets represent progression & imagination.And thats what turned me on way back when.
At least Nike foots the bill for that bullshit It's so over the top, at first glance I can't tell what team I'm watching half the time
going to repaet what i always said. use the gold pants ( without a stupid stripe) and a gold( new helmet without a stupid stripe) from vintage titans gear. combine with kelly green uniforms and white is a trim only color. a sleek fighter jet helmet symbol which is slim and can be flipped over to look the same on either side of the helmet. stop looking like the afc version of the eagles. giants fans i know constantly complain about the bills ripping off their unis.
