Tough break Judge is out 3-4 weeks, but it could have been worse. Hopefully Stanton steps up in his absence.
On the bright side, it was another good start for Gray and his injury wasn't serious. The void left by Judge will be tough to fill for the next 3 weeks.
Walker? He's been hitting lately. Sucks that Frazier's out now. Gardy will likely start against lefties who he struggles against.
Probably. Not many other choices. A couple of injuries and all of a sudden, a deep roster doesn't look so deep.
I'm convinced a trade could have been worked out with Detroit swapping bad contracts Ellsbury for Verlander but nobody was willing to take the risk except Houston and it paid off big. Can you imagine if Cashman had put that together
These doubleheaders are so annoying when there are so many of them. Shane Robinson starting in game 1? Yuck.
Sevy has been malfunctioning over his last 4 starts. He had a slump last year too, so I'm not panicking. But, if we need to play a WC game, I might go with Tanaka.
Sale on the DL now. Can't say I root for an injury to another team's star player, but it's a huge break for the Yankees to miss him this weekend. Take care of business today and we are 4.5 out going into that series.
7 runs in 2.2 innings to a team that would lose at Williamsport, Sonny Gray is a Cloudy Day for Yankee fans!
Sonny's got more trouble than lousy pitching: (1) a racially insensitive tweet, and (2) a big, shit-eating grin after he got taken out behind 6-1. A simple question: WTF? https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/mlb/2018/08/01/sonny-gray-racist-twitter/883799002/
to quote a friend of mine " with any luck Grays locker is next to Happs and he catches foot and mouth disease and misses a few starts "
