Walt, the doofy hairdo was his second mistake. His first was that way oversized suit he wore at his introductory press conference. He looked like a little kid wearing his father's clothes.
I think the stats in the OP were talking about Darnold's accuracy in WC style throws, not overall accuracy, but I could be wrong.
Well theyre definitely using completion % within their metrics bc they reference it many times over esp in their Mayfield eval.As you know im not a big believer in judging accuracy on this but it is what it is. I think the difference between accuracy & accuracy+( and this is just a guess) pure accuracy is putting the ball where it needs to be fundamentally I.E. back shoulder, where only the reciever can get it,etc & actually completing the ball;Accuracy+ is all those things but also includes pinpoint ball placement right on the frame of the Reciever into a tight window. This is just a guess but it would make sense
man this thread is like pre-draft when we were all arguing about QBs and some people ingrained completion % with accuracy.
People have been incorrectly doing this forever. At one point it was common for people to refer to Chad Pennington as "the most accurate passer of all time" or some dumb shit like that because of his completion percentage. complete nonsense.
Nah, I’m pretty sure I remember posting a PFF tweet saying that Baker had the highest accuracy % on quick passes. I did a quick search through my post history and couldn’t find it because there were just too many draft season posts haha.
This is the closest I can find but there was another one that was more similar But who cares at this point. We have a very promising QB.
NCJets - they tailor made their metrics for clicks. But basically the target (or accuracy +) area is the “breadbox”. Dropped passes are not limited to the “breadbox”. So they are saying Darnold puts the ball in the breadbox (an area a receiver cannot drop) 19.1% of the time.
Its amazing that the difference is so hard to follow. It is good to see that the defense of all things Baker is still strong. LOL
Baker Mayfield is not a Jet so fuck him. The Jets need to put Darnold in an offense built on his strengths and it sounds like they are with the WCO. Hopefully the addition of Long and a zone running game with Dennison will help as well.
There are 1,642 other players who are also not a Jet, so aye, fukk 'em all (slams beer stein on table)!
Hey 1969 ..get your point but maybe 10 per cent of this Board will know what Brylcream was ...LMAO 8xs
I think both QBs ..Sam and Baker will be winners in this league I had a preference for Baker who was Fire and instead we got Ice ...Mayfield an emotional leader and Sam cool under pressure It's all good imo
Wow, some passive aggressive posts in here. I’m not defending Baker over Darnold, I pretty clearly had Sam QB1 and Baker QB3 before the draft. I’m just not a fan of revisionist history where we rewrite everything in favor of the players that wind up Jets, and I’m almost certain Baker had the highest accuracy % (NOT completion %, I’m well aware of the difference) in all 3 ranges (short, intermediate, deep).
