Yes. I do. Because that’s what a manager’s job is. This isn’t little league. If you don’t think the guy can make the tough decisions, you don’t hire him. If you judge him capable, you hire him. Making those decisions? THAT is what Cashman’s job is. They do if they think they are the right person. You know what they don’t do? Hire someone unqualified and then do their job for them. Amen, that's the mistake Cashman made after the '03 season. He went out and got A-Rod when their real need was pitching. They had just lost Clemens, Pettite and Wells after the the '03 season. So their real need was to beef up their starting pitching.
