Can't wait to see the playoffs now!

The West is going to be crazy, and my Bucks have a legit chance now.

Interesting decision. Danny Ainge and Brad Stevens are very very happy men tonight.

I imagine the Spurs' demand from LA for Kawhi just went up too, but the smart play for the Lakers might very well be to consider next season a lost cause, see which of the current players can coexist with LeBron during the season, and then know exactly what they have and what they need a year from now.

No way should they consider it a lost season. If they can't get Leonard, then see how it goes until the trade deadline, and try to add the missing piece.

I guess he is tired of losing at the finals. He wants to be eliminated by Warriors or Rockets before getting to the finals. No way Lakers can pass thru Warriors or Rockets. The thing I hate most about this is the 76ers and Celtics. I hate Boston and Philadelphia teams due to their fans inferiority complex about New York City. With this decision chances of 76ers/Celtics making to the finals went up.

    Why?

At least it won't be LeBron vs the West in the finals finally. Some new teams will have chances, which will be exciting.

This is just odd. I thought he didn't get along well with IT. Lavar is drooling right now. Well at least the Knicks path to the finals got easier.

I don't know about that. Lonzo Ball isn't really the kind of player LeBron looks for as a teammate. He has been most effective with catch-and-shoot players, which Ball decidedly is not. Further, Lonzo might be fine playing second or third fiddle to LeBron and Kawhi (or Boogie), but do you really think his asshole father will be?

I do think that LaVar is the biggest reason that Lonzo won't be going anywhere, since the vast majority of teams want nothing to do with the head clown at the circus. His son just isn't remotely close to good enough to be worth it at this time.

The NBA will be more fun in 2018-19 than it has been the last 4 years. That is a good start. Unless you are Cleveland. Then.... yeah......... well.......... hopefully Baker Mayfield plays like a #1 overall pick? Go Indians?

I'm not feeling bad for the state. In state there's more teams than just them. I don't get that philosophy. If Wisconsin had 2 football teams, I would cheer for them both.

I can't wait until Lavar starts blaming his son's failures on Lebron. I can already see the headlines.

I did not realize IT was a free agent. So Lebron willingly signed on a team without any other super stars. Hell has frozen over.

There are many in-state rivalries in sports. I don't know anyone that just cheers for a whole state. Cool if you do though. I was just talking about Cleveland the city though. Losing Lebron is huge. I think it is good for the NBA but tough on Cleveland and it's fans. I am sure many Cavs fans are Lebron fans though too and will cheer for him on the Lakers.

So where does Lebron rate in the greats of Lakers?

Wow, well I was wrong. I thought that there was no way he was coming. I'll take it though. Better to be a #3 seed than no seed at all.

I wish Kawhi would just come out and say that he will not sign an extension with anyone but the Lakers. That would kind of hold the Spurs hostage into trading him only to the Lakers. Lakers would still have to give up some value since they wouldn't want to burn 1 of LeBron's years.

Personally I am hoping that somehow Lonzo gets traded in all of this and Ingram is kept but who am I kidding? It will probably be the other way around. LeBron likes Lonzo for some reason.
