    Surprise, surprise.

    31. Todd Bowles, Jets
The Jets would have so much reason for optimism after Sam Darnold - if it wasn't for Bowles. Bowles has the fourth-worst winning percentage in the NFL (.417). His offenses can't score with the ninth fewest points per game (18.6). His defenses can't stop people from scoring with the ninth most points allowed per game (23.9). That's a losing combination.

This list is awful. Imagine ranking coaches that have never been a HC before, and you put them in the teens. Pete Carrol in the top 3 still?

Nice job here Don. MSN is a very credible source.

Bowles is not a top 5 or even 10 HC, but 2nd to last is too low. There's at least 10 HC's I'd put him above.

Bowles is to predictable. Both in the Offence and Deference. That's what drops him to the lowest reaches of current Head coaches. I don't know who can replace him , but the front office should be looking.

Can you provide some examples of him being predictable? Just want to see if this fits in the "Bowles doesn't play young players" category.

He is impressive but I dont think he will ever leave Stanford. It's his alma mater, why leave for anyone let alone our Jets :(

Patricia, Wilks, Joseph, Koetter, Jon Gruden(the 2018 version), Reich, Nagy, Vrabel, Jackson(already ranked lower), and Lewis(talk about someone who's survived longer than he should with his record and no wins in the playoffs). Guys who haven't even coached a game shouldn't be ranked higher than Bowles IMO. I acknowledge that Bowles has his flaws which need to be fixed, but he's not 2nd to worst coach in the league bad.

Seeing as though we were supposed to be 0-16 last year and weren't, I would put him somewhere in the 20-25 range.

Marvin Lewis might not have any playoff wins but at least he's been there. Still waiting on Toilet Bowles' first playoff appearance. Therefore Lewis is obviously better. Results matter

So by placing him in front of all the rookies, he is at best the 4th worst coach in the NFL. I'm not a fan of Koetter or Joseph either, but I'd argue Marvin Lewis, despite never really winning there, is a better coach than Bowles. Maybe not by much, and maybe I'm giving him too much credit for being defensive coordinator of the best defense in my lifetime. Gruden I'm not a huge fan of either, but he is either 1) a rookie again or 2) has a much better track record than Bowles. Even though he ruined Tampa, he built Oakland.

He LOVES Sam Darnold. He was talking him up and down during the entire draft process. He inherits a Sam, a sold defense and healthy salary cap space....it might look attractive enough. He has the competency and ingenuity at the head coach position this team has lacked since Bill Parcells.

So the rookies are basically a throw away. No one has any idea how good or bad of a head coach they'll be. We can pretend to know, but in reality - no one does.

Ranking Bowles over Marvin Lewis is laughable, and above Gruden is border line insane. Gruden won a god damn superbowl as a head coach. You have lost all credibility on the subject.

    LMFAO!
