nothing to add in terms of pictures of the great Joe Klecko, thanks MR and jeto for the badass photos But here's a 1990 Miller Lite commercial with Klecko and Randy White shortly after they retired for the nostalgia
Marty the Bleeder with a shiner in the beginning, what else, lol. That Gerald Eskenazi book in the background is the shit, btw.
So weird seeing Klecko in the original unis from the 60s and early/mid 70s and not the late 70s/80s unis.
Expanded version of Post #324. Watch him toss that Miami puke at 2:57. Beyond fabulous. I miss those times.
John Hannah: "Not having Joe in the Hall of Fame is really kind of a slur against the Hall of Fame." Hope you all enjoyed the videos. Brings back so many memories, and at the same time, seeing it all again pisses me off even more.
Jetophile, thanks for posting those Klecko videos! They're awesome and bring back great memories. I'm glad that I saw the NFL HOF back in the '70s. Without Klecko in there, they might as well closed the damned place down. It's a sham. Eff every one of the dumb pussy sportswriters who vote against him.
Jason Ferguson. Big ham sandwich of a nose tackle 1997-2004. He was a 7th round pick of Bill Parcells' which is amazing considering I've been told on here that Parcells was clueless when it comes to the draft. But a 7 year starter and run stuffer is pretty good for the 7th round.
Parcells did suck at drafting. Even a broken clock is correct twice a day. Ferguson was a great pick, but we were lucky he was there. If it weren't for the weed, we probably never would have had him. Outside of the 2000 draft (and with 4 1st round draft picks, he ought to have had a great draft), how many other good players for the Jets did Parcells draft? Leon Johnson, Jason Fabini, Randy Thomas? He got a few other serviceable players in the '99 draft, but he passed up on two HOF LTs in the '97 draft and missed on more picks than he got right by far.
Chris Ward taking on roid raged Lyle Alzado. Marvin Powell's bookend. That team's win in Oakland before the Miami game was an all time high
WOW ! You aren’t kidding !!! I’ve never seen this combo before - where did you find this ? This has to be the 1978 preseason ...no other explanation . A night game in the Meadowlands which they did back then even though Shea was their home ....great find !!
Matt O'Dwyer Guard: 1995-1998. Parcells let him go to Cincy because he committed too many penalties but I always liked him, nasty run blocker
