Like I said all along he's a terrible Coach..why not play rookies? Mahomes played for Reid ??? And Andy is considered one of the better HC in the League Round 1 players ..MUST BE IMPACT PLAYERS..especially one as heralded as Sam I recognize some posters will disagree and I respect their opinion But This is why the team is stymied ...we have antiquated Coaching and terrible owners. If history is correct Bates will have no say in things ...he won't get along with Toilet..there goes OC # 3 On the other hand having the team stink it up again with McGown who will revert back to his marginal QB ing like Fitz did or roll the dice on a semi cripple like Teddy..will get Bowles fired and that's fine with me

Bowles doesn't play rookies? Didn't our top 2 picks last year start every game? Silly narrative. Don't rush Sam. Let him start when he's ready. Hack didn't play because he was awful, not because Bowls hates rookies or young players. Same with Petty. That rumor has been going around the Jets since Rex was HC. It's nonsense. If a dude sucks or isn't ready to play, you don't just play him over somebody that's better risking injury, regression or whatever else. Bowles will start the best player, regardless of age. I think that was pretty obvious over the past few seasons.
The Bowles doesn't start rookies mantra was probably from the same people calling Gailey a QB whisperer a few years back. Only difference is with the Bowles case they always point to starting Fitz or McCown over Petty and Hack as their example, no other examples of course. With Gailey, no one ever responded when I asked who these QBs were that Gailey was whispering to making them so good.
