Thanks for the nomination, guys! I will go with @matt robinson 17, a true class act and friendly guy. @Brook! is great though and has been moderating the site well.
The fact that all three of them claim to have voted for someone else shows you that they are all either completely deserving or completely full of crap. The fact that I said this shows why no one ever accused me of being one of the nicest posters here. I was part of the @Brook! groundswell demanding his eligibility for this award, so I've got to ride that horse all the way home.
Matt and TDK could both run away with this award if they weren't facing each other and Brook. Brook could get lit on fire and he'd ask somebody if he was making the room too warm.
All seem like nice guys or gals. Eliminated Brook for the whole bangs goats thing and went with TDK, tough choice.
Brook is the master of misdirection. Everyone is so enamored with the good natured empathy that they completely miss why he's on fire.
Well, it comes from my mom. She was a true Cinderella. My mom lost her mom when she was 3 years old and she was raised by a step mom. She never went to school, didn't know how to read and write. She had a big heart. Everybody loved her. My father was also from a poor family and he didn't know how to read or write either. We lived in a bad home. My mom couldn't even kill the ugliest bugs at home. She would grab them sometimes with her bare hands and would put them out to safety. She was a devout Muslim. Her philosopy was that these bugs didn't ask God to be created as bugs. So it wasn't up to her to kill them just because they were ugly. Her teaching to all of my brothers and sister was never ever hurt anything or anybody. She said take the shot if you have to if you can spare a poor soul. I took her advice to heart byz. Whatever personality I show here is what I show in my career. People who work for me literally cry when I move to another role. All of my managers and directors are still my friends on facebook etc. Maybe too much information but I remember my mom in this mother's day as she passed away 6 years ago and I have a heavy heart today.
So sorry hear that my friend. I am truly very sorry. My heart was already heavy and this made it heavier. May God put your daughter to heaven and give you and your wife strength in this day.
Went with MR here....Easily could have been BROOK....Easily could have been DN....MR has had a hell of a journey and still manages to be a real bright light on this site. Kudos to all 3.
Ugh. I'm sorry for your loss. I know that sounds like the typical canned response, but something about the simplicity with which you said it made me very sad. You got my vote, and it wasn't a pity one. Difficult choice to make here on all three. Peace to you and yours.
