Its not a matter of convincing anyone whether Bowles is clueless or not. The right move was to play McCown, not to start the useless Petty. He didnt prove he belonged on the field the season before or last preseason. He sucked beyond belief. No one could have played worse. BTW, I'm saying a HC who would have started Petty last season would be the clueless one
Are you implying Petty would have been good enough to not need to draft a QB this year? If you aren’t my apologies. But if you are...
Of course. I'm not serious. Just repeating some of the preposterous bs being said over and over and over last year... for shits and giggles. Some peeps absolutely knew Petty was better too, lol. I guess you weren't here for all the fun.
Well I still think he's an idiot (Idiot may be strong.... how about shitty coach. I'd probably enjoy drinking a beer with the guy) but it has nothing to do with the shitty QBs on this team Well... there was that Fitzpatrick game vs the Chiefs
not really. you can carry 4 and IIRC hack is still eligible for the PS. we have options also sounds like the jets lied about getting calls for petty in hopes to drum up interest
Yeah, ol' Toilet still has his detractors. But he's gonna be here for a while. Might as well grab a Snickers. But I will say he's a much better coach than a lot of the people that can't stand him, hate him, here give him credit for. So I'm looking forward to his future success
Don't forget Shell, McGuire, Anderson, Enunwa, and others. That tag put on TB was a cliche' that was not accurate. To say the least.
Bye bye Bryce. I really liked ya - people here will attest to that - but in the end things didn't work out for you. Hopefully you find a [functional team: read - Patriots] and find success. [Just kidding. You only learn how to cheat there. Stay away from Foxboro.]
Yeah, I know. There was a time I bought into the "Bowles doesn't play young guys" meme, but after seeing who he does play I changed my mind. But I still think Bowles & Co. didn't help Petty or Hack much. I would SO much prefer an offense-oriented coach, plus I just don't think Bowles is very good. Maybe, given a few years - which I don't want to give him - he might turn out okay, but in three years so far he hasn't shown me much improvement.
Yeah, I really can't share your view about Petty and Hack. Bowles didn't play them because they weren't good enough. Just like the myth that Bowles only plays old guys, Petty and Hack were brutal of their own accord. So those are two things I can't use to say that TB is a bad coach. But I kind of knew that all along. Tho they have been used here often in the past to discredit him
I'd bet we're not carrying 4 QBs into the regular season. There's no reason to. Anyone on the PS isn't really on the roster imo, they can be plucked at any time by another team.
