Not downplaying the Astros...hell...they are a really good team. After game 1 of this series, I saw this article headline and lost my mind temporarily. What has happened to the media?

    NYPOST: https://nypost.com/2018/04/30/yankees-vs-astros-is-baseballs-most-unexpected-new-rivalry/

Hit the link. Check out the actual headline. Hey...they might sweep the Yanks if they both get there...but nobody can sit there and tell me that their lineup is far superior to the Yanks. Pitching? Right now...yes....but lets see.

The Yanks handed that lineup their lunch the past 2 games. Looking forward to todays game since I'm off.

Morton and Verlander give them an edge, imo Jay, we need 1 stud starter, maybe Scheffield?

In a series totally agree....today. That will change. There is so much farm system in the lineup and on the bench that Cashman will get his bull...or 2. Last years Tanaka and this years Servino would be a decent response...very. Still think the farm system, which I loved that they have pretty much left alone, is ready to deliver a top weapon.

couldn't agree more. Could care less what he is doing now. That swing..compared to the usual long wind up power swings...so damn short and compact...he will be just fine. What an incredible approach. It will come.

I got home late, and put the TV on YES, without looking at anything else. I watched the whole game before I realized the game was on this afternoon, and I’m watching a rebroadcast.

Glad they won, and glad they did it without relying on the long ball.

Gleyber with his first MLB HR. CC with 6 scoreless. Let's see if the pen can hold it.

14-1 over last 15. Not too shabby.

I really dig Torres and Andujar. And I like that they have Sanchez and Judge and (soon) Bird to add to those two.

Can’t predict health and all that... but the team has a really good long term core right now.

Gray with 2 solid outings in a row. Just hope that Romine doesn't become his personal catcher.

Gleyber day. Just ordered another beer in anticipation of extras.

    Yanks are filthy good.

Gleyber with the walk off dinger after the Yanks were down 4-0 with 6 outs to go. Still a long way to go, but this team looks special.

You almost don’t want them to have a day off right here.

The remarkable thing is that with Andujar and Torres hitting so well, the bottom of the lineup is almost as dangerous as the top.

But they do get to face Big-Game David Price! You have to wonder if Mr. Clutch will gag again. I hope the trainers at the Stadium know how to do the Heimlich maneuver.
