No way would the Jets do that. It would be instant suicide. Whoever the Jets have filling out the card and sending to the Commish better have armed guards with them. I like the 4th round pick. Linebackers from Georgia have been good to the Jets. I always hope we find another Mo Lewis.
Browns traded up to get him in the 4th round even with the late issues after your draft, he didn't slide that far
Due to off the field problems, Hotlon Hill did not get drafted. Everyone else I picked went earlier because I am not the only one that thought those guys were pretty good.
What does this thread prove other than your complete misunderstanding of why teams give draft capital to trade up?
before he plays a down, barkley will have more guaranteed money per year than any running back in the league ... he was not worth trading up for
He could rush for 1600 yards and 16 TD's and I still wouldn't want him over a potential franchise QB.
WRONG! You just don't get it. Assuming that Mac truly would have been happy with any one of Darnold, Mayfield or Rosen, taking Barkley (if he had been there at #3) over one of those QBs would have been mind-numbingly stupid, a career-killer, and an offense worth of being fired immediately after the card was read. You were also dead wrong about those players being guaranteed to be there at #6. As it turned out, the only two who were there were Allen and Rosen. Allen wasn't worth using a 2nd round pick on (if we had had one), and Rosen falling was a complete shock. We tried to tell you that before the draft. Your gut, instincts, or thinking processes , Ouija board, or crystal ball that you use for your personnel suggestions almost always lead you astray. Maybe you should try the George Castanza approach and always do the opposite of what you think you should do.
None of the players we are discussing has taken one snap in the NFL. Every year there are guys that look great on paper that either fall flat or end up on IR before they have a chance to prove anything. Someone else posted that the mocks are fun to read after the draft. They can be even more fun to read after the season is over. Funny how you guys aren't bumping the mock where I got David Johnson for us in round three. If you go back far enough the thread is still there somewhere.
