It is probably unrealistic but I'd like to see the Jets try to trade up for Will Hernandez. I really thought he was going round 1. If we stay put, Maurice Hurst could be a steal in the 3rd round. Other guys I like but don't think we have a shot at are Josh Jackson, Connor Williams, Dallas Goedert, and Nick Chubb. Edit: Forgot Courtland Sutton.
Good to see some Olineman on this list. If he keeps falling into the 2nd half of the 2nd round...Will Hernandez might be a guy worth moving up for. I am not in favor of a move like this, but he is going to be a solid Guard.
Prying that Josh Sweat actually makes it to our third. I cant see it happening but I'd love it if it did.
Mo Hurst, Harold Landry, Nathan Shepard, Martinas Rankin, Austin Corbett, Lorenzo Carter, Josh Sweat, Kemoko Turay
BPA...I get it, but....if there is an OLineman who is close to being the BPA...how do/can the jets pass?
Ideal scenario: Rd 3 Mike Gesicki TE Rd 4 Arden Key OLB Rd 5 Orlando Brown OT Rd 6 Holden Hill CB Rd 7 Antonio Calloway WR
These are the money rounds. We only got one pick in the third, but we have to nail it. I'd go OL, RB or TE.
Since we Darnold I'm not upset about the trade up. That being said this is where I wish we could've kept our 2nds. Lot of talent still there and they could help us. Hopefully a few fall to us in the third. If a good number do would love to trade back in the third to get more picks. We need help eerywhere and there seems to be good talent left in the third and fourth rounds.
Had injuries, gained weight during season, and has off the field issues. Latest buzz is that he could be there in round four. As I said it was an ideal scenario.
Some, maybe all, of these won't fall to our 3rd round pick, but following are guys I'd like to see us take: James Daniels, C, Iowa Dalton Schultz, TE, Stanford Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, OLB/Edge Rusher, Oklahoma Anthony Averett, Slot CB, Alabama Da'Shawn Hand, DE, Alabama Josh Sweat, OLB, Florida St. Orlando Brown, OT, Oklahoma (if they think they can motivate him) Martinas Rankin, C, Mississippi St. Brian O'Neill, OT, Pittsburgh Scott Quessenberry, C, UCLA Royce Freeman, RB, Oregon
After the problems with Robbie Anderson, I think you can forget seeing the Jets take Equanimeous St. Brown.
