People will take it how they want but I just thought it was interesting. Polian killed the Browns too for considering Baker at 1.

 

can we spoil the 1 and 2 picks or is the penalty the same for that too?

 

If there's one guy I trust when it comes to QBs, it's Rex Ryan.

He "went in" on Baker and praised Josh Allen. That right there is all you need to know.

What are your thoughts about Polian's criticism of Mayfield being the #1 pick?

He also thinks Lamar Jackson should play WR because he's too short (6'3"), compared Manziel to Jim Kelly and said he was a top 5 pick, said Moss and TO shouldn't be in the Hall and claimed to have had a 1st round grade on a 6th round QB (Brady).

So my question is what are YOUR thoughts?

 

I've been posting my thoughts on these QBs for the better part of 6 months; they are well documented. It's draft day and this is the official Jets draft day thread so I'm going to take a breather and just post items related to the day.

BTW Lamar Jackson at WR is not crazy. He may end up there when it's all said and done. If Manziel wasn't a lazy coke head who knows what he would end up being. What does his opinions on the HOF has to do with the draft? That Brady one does sounds crazy though...LOL; I can't lie.

 

I meant what are your thoughts on Bill Polian's opinion on Mayfield given his embarrassing track record.

 

I keep telling myself we're going to end with with Darnold, Rosen, or Mayfield tonight, but there is this nagging thought in the back of my head that Allen is going to be the pick. I already warned my roommate if Allen is the pick with Rosen or Darnold on the board, our apartment may have a new hole in wall.

 

First off, I don't think his track record is embarrassing. That said; he had some interesting points as to why Mayfield should NOT be #1 overall pick:

(paraphrasing)
-He's 6 ft which he would mark as a red flag for "PQ" (Physical Quality)
-Sub par athleticism; He thinks the Russell Wilson comps are way off.
-Lacks top tier arm strength which should be concern because it's Cleveland.
-If you are going Mayfield you might as well draft Barkley #1.

This is like a greatest hits of all Polian's worst takes. Awful take on Jackson's height, awful comparison for Manziel, awful take on Manziel's arm strength, awful gauge on who should have been picked where.

 

Is it Draft time yet? I'm shaking like a shitting dog.
