I think that tweet may be misconstrued...I think Mac likes both Mayfield and Rosen, but the offensive coaches probably really get a good feeling about Rosen. He probably is on their level when it comes to analysis and preparation. These fucking numb-nuts in the media will spin anything negatively. Trust me I know, I was in sports media for 7 years
Man you'll try anything to bash Mayfield huh... It makes perfect sense that a room full of offensive coaches want the guy that is already ready to jump in and play.
I think Rosen is the only NFL ready QB of the group but I agree with you about Mayfield. The Browns aren't taking him. They actually have a reasonably good GM and HC. Nobody has Rosen going to Cleveland. I suspect that's who they are going to take if they don't trade out and take him later. With all the hype I think Rosen is probably on top of most NFL draft boards. The concussions may scare a few teams but they can't say that because it's an indictment of the game so they're talking about his attitude. I still think Cleveland takes him.
Darnold Mayfield (Tie) Rosen (Tie) Allen I'm not thrilled with this QB class, it's ok, not elite. My Top 3 are extremely close. I believe Mac is going to draft Rosen. When USC and UCLA were playing Mac spend a large amount of time on UCLA's sideline. Our OC is supposedly in love with Rosen and he believes Rosen the best fit for the Jet's offense. Also, and it's JMO, I don't think Mac wants the distraction of Broadway Baker in Florham Park with all the media and circus. IMO, Bowles is the Mayfield fan. This doesn't mean I don't like Mayfield, I really like him, I just predicting what the Jet's are going to do tonight.
Except that we have no idea that any team has him seriously as a top 5 pick. It may turn out that Cleveland is blowing smoke out of their ass and no one does.
Of course, I just found it hilarious that's all. Baker hella overrated, Browns will be doing us a HUGE favor.
About as informative as your opinion on Lamar Jackson Then let me be the first to say, fuck Bowles. "My defense and Baker can finally dance together, we will be on the same page!" Bowles scared of an intellectual QB that will question him?
Just me on an island, sitting here alone with the opinion that Lamar Jackson has a long way to go before he's a starting caliber NFL QB.
Lol. I agree. I'm a believer in the more picks. Any other year I would do it but this year we need a qb so we have to stay and Mac made a great trade to do it.
I will never trust a defensive head coach when it comes to the selection of a franchise QB. Bowles will play any QB, that can do basic things on the field (hand the ball off) and not turn it over.
