Mayfield is a stone cold killer. Hopefully if the jets get him, he poops on the Giants logo in the snoopy bowl.
Just saw Bich Semeni announce the Jets pick on the ESPN Mock Draft show. Baker Mayfield over Josh Rosen... Classic Jets at their polarizing best. Lotta people gonna be threatening to take their loyalty away over that lol.
It is one thing to not like Mayfield the prospect, or any of these guys. Once one of them is a Jet, if someone is arrogant enough to think they have a more informed opinion than the team, to the point where they are willing to drop the team over it... well, don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.
haha, if we take Mayfield or Rosen, he'd trip over himself trying to get back on the air to criticize their press conferences every week. It would give him new inspiration..
The very thought of it has people fretting, even panicking. lol. It'll be ugly if it happens that way. I'll believe it when I see it. But I already have several Baker-tars ready to flash
I’m pretty sure Rosen will be the pick. Mac is risking his job on this pick and I think he will go with the polished player.
I've got baker slightly over Rosen as my 1-2 but I'd love either guy. In my view, Rosen is the safer pick but I don't see him as a top 5 qb. I think mayfield can be a wilson-Brees combo. Rosens ceiling is more of a Matt Ryan type imo.
So question for the Rosen first guys. What is your take on the UCLA vs Texas A&M game? Where does that rate on your opinion of Rosen?
It's a factor in that Rosen did not give up on a seemingly insurmountable deficit with the game in the late 3rd quarter. It's just one game though and Rosen and UCLA got lucky on a couple of throws that could easily have gone the other way. Probably the biggest thing to watch is the action on the sidelines after the second TD in the run early in the 4th quarter with UCLA still down 3 scores. People are running around on the sidelines excitedly like they know the team is going to come all the way back from the dead at that point. You don't do something like that unless you really believe in your QB.
It's important, and of course it's only one game, but It's proof that he doesn't quit and has a winner's mindset, and can make his team believe in him. And I think it answers critics who question his heart or commitment to the game. I would say most players - even very good players - might just quit under those circumstances and say "We'll get 'em next time" - we actually have a coach on our team who did (actually one who said it out loud, and one who just showed it by his decisions), so I think it's a very important measure of Rosen.
Laugh Out Loud. I need to find the rest of these brilliant threads trashing Mayfield. It’s too late. I’ll look tomorrow. Unless @SolidBowlesGold admits he had no idea what he was talking about with 100s of posts dumping illogically on a great college QB and potentially great NFL QB.
