Final Decision Time: Who will the New York Jets draft at #3?

this is probably the most accurate answer you can get.

All I know is we are taking a QB, but it seems it could be any of the top 4.

 

I will guess mayfield or rosen which means it will be darnold of course.

 

If Darnold is available he’ll be the pick

If Darnold is gone but Rosen, Mayfield & Allen are available Rosen will be the pick.

If Darnold and Rosen are gone then it’s Mayfield.


With the 3rd pick of the 2018 NFL draft the NYJs select QB Josh Rosen.

 

We win a first round QB...giving us a 67 % chance of success on the field vs. the slop Mac has previously gotten in 2nd and 4th where the odds of hitting are MUCH lower

 

I hope this is true, although if to comes down to allen or mayfield, i'd be pretty upset but i'd rather take my chances with allen over mayfield personally

 

I want Allen but I think it will be Rosen

 

Brett Kollman mock draft. I've always had a ton of respect for Brett's evaluations (been following him for a few years now):

 

Fans are short on patience but he is right. Though you can say that about every qb that comes out. Even goat baker is going to struggle out of the gate

 

I'm predicting it goes

1) Darnold
2) Allen
3) Rosen

So Rosen

If Rosen is there at 3, Macc has to take him. He's as "plug & play" as any QB has been recently. Yes, concerns about concussions, but the "character" stuff? If Macc listens to that crap he's asking for a Marino Part Deux.

If Rosen is gone, it's Mayfield, also close to "plug & play" though will have to learn how to take snaps UC, which I think he'll pick up quickly.

Either one, I'm happy.

 

Sounds great to me! That would be my pick unless Darnold falls to #3.

@PennyandtheJets asked who we think the Jets themselves will pick, so I will say Baker Mayfield. Classic Jets! Could work out though.

I believe all the "buzz" about Mayfield to Jets is disinformation. If nothing else this FO is right lipped about the draft so I think the buzz is just made up by the media. I think the Jets will draft Rosen.

 

I've seen several analysts comment that the Mayfield buzz is coming from other GMs. Basically, teams never reveal what they actually want to do, but they are willing to talk about what they think other teams will do. Based on what these guys have heard from other GMs, there is nearly a consensus that other teams think the Jets are taking Mayfield. That doesn't mean it will happen, but it is what they think.

 

I voted Baker Mayfield because its only right that the Jets pick the exact opposite of the player I want lol
