With the 3rd overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, the New York Jets select QB, Baker Mayfield, Oklahoma. I think this is the guy they want. I would be very happy with him. Early on the rumor was McCagnan didn't view him as a top 3 talent. I think this was an intentional smokescreen. I think the rumors that it is a done deal is only true if he is there to take.
Still think it's BM6. Would be fine with Rosen or Darnold. Hackenallen means we start over AGAIN in 2020
Who was the unnamed east coast team to privately meet with Allen? I think he's the Jets pick if he lasts to 3. More likely he's gone tho, and the Jets set their sights on Mayfield.
Then Mac and Bowles can start cleaning out their offices If it's Mayfield then we can reserve the Canyon of Heroes
I think Rosen will be the fourth QB drafted, and will fall out of the top 5 picks. He is not the best, and his stock has been dropping.
I feel like it has to be rosen. I cna't see darnold being there at 3 (it would be shocking) so i think it comes down to allen, rosen, and mayfield and I believe the jets take rosen.
I voted Rosen because I think he'll be there and I'm not gonna factor in all the hearsay about his character. I also think it's between him and Baker. I acknowledge there's risk with Baker but should we pick him I will be thrilled if he succeeds...the little fuckn punk midget is my boy. But there's risk with them all.
It's a CYA draft for the FO so I think it's going to be Rosen. It's easier to defend a pick that if it potentially fails it will due to injury than it is performance.
Lol I’m starting to feel that way too honestly. Maybe it’s Rosen because the Jets are smoke screening Mayfield so hard. Maybe it’s really Mayfield and the leak really is just media speculation. Maybe Darnold falls and they take him. Maybe it is Allen for the same reasons for Rosen.
Ahahah ..very hard to be that objective but of course I said BM as Bates man to run his Offense If it's Rosen vs BM ..who do you WANT ? The Glass Cannon or Mr Durability..? "Safer" or Gut?? "Who you think they want/ will draft"...too many conflicting signals out there..ugh..too scary to contemplate
This draft will be fun for the fact that I really have no clue where teams at the top are going and there seems to be a lot of QB's involved. Can't wait to see who freefalls.
This is probably the most exciting draft since we had 4 picks in 2000. I think I would be excited even if we were not in position to grab a QB. So much intrigue, so many questions, so many red flags, so much potential and so much is unknown.
