Attention Mods. One of you should create one thread regarding our draft pick at #3. It sucks to see 18 threads created once we make a pick, as it is hard to keep track and get a conversation going. We should have a mod create the thread now, and lock it up and then unlock it on draft night and change the title to whoever we draft. You can lock or delete this thread once you see it, just figured it would be a good idea to have all the convo in one place on draft night.
I would agree with this as well. Set it up now, lock it, and then open the flood gates right before the draft starts.
Also permaban anyone who posts the pick before Goodell announces it. Just kidding, but at least discourage it or delete the post. I’d like to be able to discuss the on the clock scenario with you guys without it getting spoiled. We’ve been debating for months so it’d suck to have to stay off here during the big moment. We all know it’ll be on Twitter 5 minutes in advance but there’s no fun in that.
Thank you for saying this. I was thinking yesterday that I did not want to read these boards when the Jets go on the clock as someone will inevitably post the pick before it is announced. There is something to be said to hearing the pick announced by the commissioner and watching the reaction. When I think of watching the draft and a QB is announced I can't help but recall those two guys who booed when the Sanchez pick was announced. One of which turned out to be that really annoying Jet TV kid who if people recall posted those really annoying Jet TV videos.

And anybody creating a second third fifth or 20th should be immediately banned, we already have 100 threads for each QB , I only want to see one more, for whoever the Jets draft.
This is a great idea, @Jay Bizniss, the problem is people will still make new threads no matter what. That is the problem with some posters. They just make their own threads no matter what. I guess a Mod could make a thread like you said, then be on hand during the draft to lock and merge all the new threads that are created and put them into that 1 thread. Good plan.
Probably every Mayfield/Darnold/Rosen/Allen/Your Grandma thread should be merged somehow. Do it creatively. As in delete them all. Just make an Official Jets Draft Thread, everyone puts their thoughts in there, merge and more purge. Purging. God knows I'll be sticking my fingers down my throat, anyway.
the problem with that idea is that on draft day there is nothing else to discuss but the player the jets draft. So one thread only on the drafted player will get pages and pages long and longer in just a few minutes. its hard to keep up (especially if you are drunk and/or old). I've quoted people from like page 3 and my post ends up on page 15. The OP is like WTF? Iv'e made 20 other posts since then
I’ve spent all offseason talking with people on here about who we should take. I think it’d be cool to be able to go through the moment together especially since we’ll finally know who’s actually available.

but my views and opinions are much more important than those of anyone else on the board and I will have a unique and interesting spin on the pick - how will my post get the attention it deserves if i cannot start my own thread?
