Why don't D Lee worry about tackling someone first? I hope they get rid of the green/green. Maybe its because I'm color blind but the colors look mismatched. Drives me crazy.
Are we really getting new uniforms or is this just speculation? We’re Adams and lee trying to make a push for them. I don’t think they have a say if we change uniforms or helmets.
Hopefully changing are uniforms isn't akin to rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. Perhaps it would be wise to wait an change the unis after we purge the entire coaching staff next year. Don't want to have another 6-10 season staining our rebrand.
That's what I meant about the ORIGINAL original emblem and not the original emblem people are used to (earlier post). Namath is wearing that helmet on my '65 yearbook. : ) When they came out with old/new logo, they went with the lettering and kelly green.
Don't mind the helmet/logo, can't stand the finish. Not the least bit enamored on metallic finish helmets. At all.
Other than Nike changed these panels a couple of seasons back and this doesn't happen anymore you'd have a point. Has nothing to do with the Jet design, was different materials used by Nike and absorption. Happened to any team wearing a dark jersey
I hated the lighter, Kelly green. Like the darker green much better. Only problem, again a Nike issue, is the new material reflects light weirdly and looks brownish in daylight. I hate Nike and their scientifically better unis
I think we need something akin to what the Dolphins did this year (they're making the orange darker). Not a complete overhaul just tweeking the colors (darker/lighter on either the green or white) could make a big difference. Maybe a different finish on the helmet like a matte finish instead of glossy. Sleeker number font. All little things that could make our uniforms feel fresh without losing the classic look we love. Like everyone else says it's the logo that needs an update anyway.
I really like this one. Its time to get our uni's a fresh reboot. One of the first things Parcells did when he became the grocery shopper was changed the uniforms. Our team got better right away. We could use a little of that now or a lot of that.
That image shows the sweat effect in regards to the perspiration absorption (or lack thereof) of the different textiles on the uniform. That being said, the Jets uniforms, DRY, have different, unmatching shades of green. I’ve been annoyed with this for years. The upper jersey has a military green color and a hunter green color and it looks stupid. Edit: the green the jets selected as their primary color is the most unremarkable green ever which speaks volumes about the team’s historical value. They really need to go with Kelly green as the primary and an updated modern look like the falcons.
