I dont think Buffalo has enough to move up to 2 and I dont believe the Giants are trading that pick anyway
that would be a dream come true for me. we still land rosen (maybe darnold if cleveland takes allen) the bills give away their future and wind up with an overhyped QB likely to fail in the NFL. Maybe that's the jets plans all along, give praise to mayfield hoping the bills jump us for him and we get who we really want
to be honest i could care less. until yesterday, i had long presumed darnold would not be available for us. Could care less if Buffalo trades up to draft him.
Arizona,Miami,San Diego & Buffalo all have legit interest in a QB..thats before the aforementioned Billls & Patriots. Regardless of whether the QB class is overhyped or not it’s top heavy for the first time in a number of years combined w the fact theres a “changing of the guard” slowly underway w the likes of Shady,Big Ben,Rivers,Eli,etc nearing the end.Teams know this. You think Miami wants to sit back w Brady finally on his last leg only to see the Jets & bills beat them to the punch of moving up & taking a QB?? Similar applies to Buffalo & perhaps even the Pats;And thats only the AFC East Id expect crazy trades,reaches/steals all spawning directly or indirectly from this QB class
and there are other years to land a QB. it's a great QB draft for sure but doens't mean every team is gonna sell the farm for one. there is always this kind of speculation during the draft. most people including us, expected the jets to take a QB last year. maybe trubisky if he fell to 6, maybe trade up, maybe trade down for mahomes or watson, maybe us our 2nd rounder on kizer. but the draft happened and we took 2 safeties with our top 2 picks. even bellichick said he likes jackson, but he isn't selling the farm for a QB. I think the only legit team looking to move up for a QB now is the bills. Many people here are expecting 4 Qbs to go in the top 5, but I just don't see it, it's not how the draft ever goes. It's just odd right now, because every team in our division is looking at a QB. most desperately us and buffalo.
I am hoping buffalo gets shut out in getting a qb because they are a rival but if they do trade up ahead of us we still have the same choices if the jints pick a qb. That’s why Mac moved to 3. My hope is we can pick from Rosen or mayfield. I want the bills n dolphins to get shut out because I hate them
Our decision to jump to 3, was made with the expectation that 2 QBs would be off the board. I would be happy to see Buffalo trade up to two. Considering the cost. They have already given up 3 pro bowl caliber players to amass their current picks, lost 3 of their O lineman ( very good players) and will have to trade up to top 8 before moving to the Giants spot costing them the majority of this year's picks and at least 2 of next year's top 3. No O line , no depth, holes everywhere, a coaching staff that is on the verge of losing the locker room . Darnold will completely bust in that scenario so what's there to really worry about?
All the Bills have to do is give up their 1st and 2nd round picks next year as part of the deal and guarantee the Giants an Allen pick on the #2. That would be a top 5 pick next year with no questions asked.
Considering Mac spent the majority of the USC vs UCLA on the UCLA sideline and the trade up to 3 happened immediatly after Rosen's windy Pro day, I think you may want to adjust the order on Mac's board.
I'd love for that to happen. Bills get a high upside guy who may never put it together and will be depleted of draft picks. Just don't see it happening.

My gut says that if the Giants stay at 2, then Rosen is there for us at three. If someone else moves up to two, it could shift to Darnold or Allen for us. . Would not surprise me if we choose Allen over Darnold. Sit him behind McCann for a year and damned the torpedos.More and more experts are coming out and falling in love with Allen, so he might be the first pick to Cleveland..
I think you make good points. I think Buffalo is a tough place to play regardless, weather is brutal for someone who is not used to playing there. Management is tough and is know for their short leash. Not a great place for a rookie QB from Sunny Southern California. If anything, Buffalo should look at Allen who is from a cold, blue collar environment. Although I don't think they see it that way. We shall see how it plays out.
I didn't know he was on the UCLA sideline for that game, pretty interesting.....I know that Rosen and Bates would be a nice little pairing. Both cerebral types. Would be nice to have a QB who can see the game from that angle, Chad was a lot like that.
I think all this speculation is very interesting..but if Mac is truthful HE could not trade up to the one or two spot..and I doubt the Bills will be able to do it where WE couldn't Believe or not I don't even think the Browns or NYG CONSIDERED budging..Meaning a flat out NO to MM..Gut says Browns are shooting for SD at 1 and ..if possible Barkley at 4..i.e. An absolute coup! The Giants will sit tight and hope somehow Cleve likes Josh Allen then get Darnold ...Rosen doesn't fit their mold of QB but SD and possibly Allen do imo The Colts OTOH took the deal from us praying Luck doesn't run out it and liking a couple of 2nd rounders plus the 6 spot Colts have some guts to do this ..I heard on NFL radio Luck hasn't picked up a football..yet
