You're entitled to that opinion, but since you're posting it here you're looking for validation and/or feedback, as we all are. I just don't see where you've provided any evidence that Rosen is a "Path 2" guy. Frankly, I see him absolutely as a "Path 1" guy based upon the things I posted above, but we can agree to disagree.
I hope you are right because I think there's a great chance Rosen is the pick. I don't see how Darnold falls and I could see an intense war room discussion over Rosen & Mayfield on draft day
I can definitely see an intense discussion between Rosen and Mayfield being the pick, but IMO it should be a no-brainer. Rosen has sown clearly that he's ready to step in and start Day 1, and is a natural for the WCO that Bates wants to run. As for Darnold, I just don't see where he's better than Rosen right now. MAYBE, POSSIBLY in the long run he might become better, but there's also a chance he doesn't even go beyond back up level. If I'm the Jets I take "The bird in the hand" if he's there.
I voted for Rosen and it’s not even close. I like the underlying F#ck You attitude he has hidden away that I think will come out much more after the draft. I think Baker has it too with the crotch grabbing and flag planting but Rosen will have less of the “outburst” FY attitude and have more of that Tom Brady “Look at the Scoreboard” FY attitude. Say what you want about Brady but that attitude kills me more as A Jets fan then someone laying out one of our guys with a big hit. That’s the best kind of “Killer Instinct/ F*ck You” attitude to have in my eyes.. The hot tub in his dorm room let me know he knew that college was more than football and even with all the pressure on him he should relax and have some fun as kids in college do. That comeback vs A&M showed me he isn’t a quitter when the chips are down, which we are going to need in our QB for the next season or two at the least. The f*ck Trump hat was taking the piss out of people because he knew people would be watching his every move. I think that was less of a political statement as it was “you guys want to see me REALLY piss some folks off”? And most of all when he was constantly asked if he “loved” football he basically said he wouldn’t be as good as he is if he didn’t because of all the time and effort he has put into being as good as he is at this stage of the game....That was huge for me...
Why would anyone here decide which QB to draft based on personality only? Especially given no one here knows what these guys are like with teamates, coaches, etc. Brady, Rodgers, Ben and others are complete dickheads, I'll take any of them as my QB
Which is why I voted Rosen. He seems like kinda a dick with a extreme attention to detail. Sounds a lot like Brady to me.
Getting wrapped up in QB personality doesn't make a lot of sense to me. There's a huge range of winning personalities and an equal range of losing personalities for QBs. Super focused could give you Tom Brady or it could give you Todd Marinovich. Devil-may-care could give you Art Schlicter or it could give you Kenny Stabler.
I can't believe how many people are saying Rosen or Mayfield. Newsflash: acting like a dick is not a good thing. By personality only, Darnold and Allen are much better choices.
