Looking forward to a big storm today while at work. Came home early for lunch to walk the dog while it's still dry out.

I don't want to go back to work but they won't pay me otherwise. Stupid meeting with an important person to explain my data to him. I want to relax on the couch with no electronics on and just listen to the rain/thunder.

GFS more north...but less on totals. Very progressive pattern...very hard to come up the coast...fast. Again...not sure how these number's can be achieved with real time climate. We will see as it comes closer.

Be careful what you wish for, if the winds get as bad as they say it might you may be doing exactly what you want

Which model has been the most successful this winter? Has any one risen above the rest?

What is the latest on these 2 storms for Long Island?

Fred,,,,The Euro used to be king but no more I say that there are 2 or 3 models better,,,,,,,,,some models are better at closer range other better at longer range------The Nam has done well with the dynamics of many of these storms but not with the snow or precipitation amounts,,,,I personally think that the Ukie has done pretty well this winter-----but if your asking which model we can go by right now to get a good answer = I say none of them as they have all had issues and almost every storm has come down to nowcasting. The only storm that I thought was a layup was storm # 2 of the 4 Noreasters we just had,,,,,a few models had a decent grip on that one

Found my 95 gallon recycling bin two houses down the street. Lid flew open and smacked me in the head when I was trying to wheel it back.

Also, some strange small blue bin in my recycling bin. Suspect it's a neighbors bin.

PS the latest is "WE STILL DO NOT KNOW" ,,,,,,we might get a better idea tonight but as of this morning the models varied and some said it hits DC and Virginia and not so much us------but again the storms all trended more N n W this winter so I think it comes more North but what do I know Im just trying to get home from Florida and if I get jammed up on 95 I will be egging Brooks house !!! This has been a very tough "SPRINTER" = when winter and spring combine

I hate to see you stranded C. Safe travels my friend. And Monday is my first day in my company. And Tuesday is my first day in my office meeting with my colleagues and direct reports. This couldn’t come at a worse time.

Jesus H! I felt like I was listening to the Tiger Lilies 'Flying Robert' on a loop today! Whatever happened to metal trash cans, by the way?! Sons of bitches Sanitation Dept., they throw my plastic cans on my lawn and toss the covers into the street for fun just so they can run them over!

For real, this one guy is such a POS. If I make believe that I forgot to take out my mail from the day before when they're pulling up, he plays it cool and makes nicey nice. If not, he throws our stuff all over the place. It's amazing. What a passive aggressive hump. Probably a serial killer. I threw an amazing pitch of a huge bag of dog shit that he purposely left in my garbage can. "YOU FORGOT THIS!" I made it. I felt like Bucky Dent in another universe, but somehow I knocked it out of the park.

So, are we getting more snow?

Brook we will worry about Tuesday after CBG gets
So heres what happened over night----CMC, GFS, UKIE, EURO are all more South,,,Nam is by itself right now and says North ,,I will see what happens today and if we see the usual shifts North as we have all year but I am very curious about timing of this ? Ps The Euro had it south but with A Lot less moisture / drier,,,,if there is not a lot of moisture and it most falls during the day ???? well still time but as of now I will prepare to leave on Friday but I am on the fence about leaving,,,,,lets see what the models say today,,,trend has been North all year we shall see/ thoughts

the south potential is a progressive track which we talked about yesterday...nothing to hold this puppy down. If what I think will happen happens, its POSSIBLE those north of NNJ...and maybe even including NNJ metro...get very little or even nothing. Its possible. I mean..its Thursday and this is 48 hours away or less. Its a very progressive fast moving pattern with crazy cold for this time of the year...all pointing to a southern track. Lets see.

Jay always preches "trends, trends, trends" So until it the snow actually starts to fall in South Town I'm going to stick with this moving North.
