I don't think Namath was ever mean spirited, just playful..

anyway, pity the GM who takes him if the Johnsons do have a problem with him. Trump did make Woody an ambassador after all.

Is Rosen wise enough to avoid asking (answering?) those questions to the press.

This is the largest media market in the world. Our beat writers give the most accomplished internet trolls a run for their money...

Will Rosen's play put him on the back page? Or will his mouth?

I've stuck with this team through all their suckness despite living 1000 miles away for decades but If theyre sticking their little platinum spoon fed johnsons into the debate of drafting players based on their political views..... ehhhhhh

Unlike his older brother, Chris is not a Trump supporter.

Rosen is a natural. He has such a nice throwing motion, he has a good feel for the game and played in a pro offence. The concussions are a problem but I think if Allen is off the board he’s our guy

So his "incidents" are him having and expressing the same political view as millions and being a 19 year old college kid that spent $300 or so on a hot tub for his dorm? Why couldn't he just steal some crab legs or shoot a pellet gun and some animals on campus?

Has he broken the law? Hurt anyone?

It would be a new low in the world of the Jets passing on a Qb for his political views at 19 years old. Thankfully I don’t think that will be an issue.

Thats the type of stuff that would make me think twice about the team I am rooting for. I never considered it, but if the Jets do this, I might.

    Kiper's latest mock: 1) Allen 2) Darnold 3) Rosen

    McShay's 1) Darnold 2) Allen(Buf) 3) Rosen

I'm happy either way, but would prefer not to have a high potential QB in the division.

I liked Rosen's answer at the combine as to how he approaches the game
    -http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl/news/2018-nfl-combine-josh-rosen-ucla-best-attribute-pick-defenses-apart/1ivou6tti9yvh1mmtq0qm34vxs

"I think if you can get to three, four reads into your progression you give yourself more opportunities to get the ball down the field," he said. "If you're a one, two and run guy, and you say, throw the ball ... 40 times a game, NFL 30 times a game, you're giving yourself ... 70, 80 opportunities to get the ball down the field.

"If you can get into one, two, three and four, then you're giving yourself 150, 160, twice as many opportunities to actually push the ball down the field."

    --
Now I think its wishful thinking to think he's gonna have enough time back there with this shitty O-line to go through 3, 4, progressions without getting hammered by defense's pass rush but its this kind of analytical thinking that you want in a QB

This is why the kid wants to understand the offensive philosophy and scheme. He's not a complete dummy -- can do basic mathematics. More importantly, Rosen understands that understanding of the game results real in-game consequences.

(Note: Maybe this is a product of kids growing up playing Madden? They understand why they pick a particular play. If it's an experienced player he/she also knows why they audible, change protections, and alter routes on the fly. Is it so crazy that someone who plays football -- IRL Madden -- wants to know the same thing?)

Also, compare Rosen to Manziel: Deadspin: Johnny Manziel: The Browns Should Have Known I Had No Idea What I Was Doing. http://google.com/newsstand/s/CBIwsKzRjDg

No other QB, I've seen talks like this and I absolutely loved it when he talked about it. The Jets highly value someone who can go through progressions. Jets and Rosen are the absolute perfect fit.

Eventually he needs to take what the defense gives him and live for another down. I saw that a lot in the Texas A&M comeback, but not as much in other games.

That’s not fair to the browns. When you have no idea what you are doing you don’t know if some else has no idea what they are doing
