Good points. Not really what I was talking about, but certainly relevant in terms of choosing a QB.

Mike Mayock has Allen rated as the number 2 qb in the draft. I don’t know shit about of these guys so why r u down on Allen? Seems like jet fans such as us have ganged up on him because all the jet podcast guys and this site has told us so. I don’t want him either but based on what I hear and read from the very same people.

Well sec314 I had some free time on my hands and I watched clips of Allen. To me he isn't accurate enough for my taste. To be fair, I care more about the views of quarterback gurus on this site more than Jet beat writers. Looks like some of the fan base agrees with me. At least Jet fans are firm on Rosen/Darnold and majority wants them. I hope either Browns or Giants or any team trades with Giants love Allen and pick him.

    Yes
Fair enough. I am hoping for Rosen he’s the only guy I have seen and Darnold won’t make it to 3. I don’t want Allen or mayfield to be honest based on the little I know. I get the feeling since we are the jets Rosen won’t be there and we will pick one of those guys. So u want mayfield over Allen huh?

Are you seriously asking this question? Have you not seen the man's avatar or read EVERY SINGLE ONE of his posts for the past month?

It's very easy to be labelled "pro-Allen" in the midst of so many anti-Allen/Mayfield is God on cleats fans on this board. The reality is that I'm mildly a pro-Allen guy; I'm more of an anti-Mayfield in the top 10 guy if anything. With the lack of a pound the table worthy QB prospect in this class, I've evolved into I a "gun to my head I'd rather Allen" guy. He has the highest ceiling and his floor much in my amateur opinion is much higher than many are being led to believe. Like the narrative behind his accuracy the whole big bust potential storyline has taken a life of his own.

I want Mayfield not only over Allen I also want him over Darnold. I only want Rosen and Mayfield in this draft as Jets QB but I habe zero credibility for picking the right college QB. :)
Got it legler82. Are you ranking Darnold and Rosen higher than Wentz where you were spot on? Also you see Darnold and Rosen ahead of Allen?

The concern with Rosen isn't concussions per se, it's that he'll retire rather than risk getting more of them.

    Wentz
    Rosen
    Allen
    Darnold

In that order. Note that I would still draft Allen ahead of Rosen even though I rank Rosen ahead because of the athleticism and upside.

All Allen has going for him is athleticism and upside.

I can't see how you can support him at all if your post is honest.

Sorry, I forgot to mention his legendary college career at QB.

My bad...never noticed his Avatar. Second part of my question is also answered. I guess is Allen for us.

I see not much has changed during your hiatus. You're still a HOFer on this board at sarcasm and insults but not so much football.

Right. Another reason why the "number" of concussions isn't necessarily germane, and why it's a story for Rosen and not Mayfield. Thank you.

Rex is the last guy anyone should take QB advice from. Clueless on the position.

They have that guy already... Hack, and it may be more like 5-6 years before Hack would be ready enough to competently run a few series late in a blow out game.
