Why didn't they just re-sign Demario as well as Williamson? Guys complaining about Demario being 30 but now we are justifying a possible signing of a 36 year old?
Good question. One guess is that they were trying to get younger with Williamson, and they must have had their eye on another younger LB (one of Jon Bostic, Josh Keyes, Joe Thomas, or Preston Brown) as the backup, but he either didn't accept their offer and signed with another team or signed before they could talk with him. The only other thing I can think of off the top of my head is that they just didn't like Davis for some reason or thought he'd never replicate last year's play.
I will say it again,,,,I hate our LBs,,,I just think we have been and are just so weak and bad at this position----PS even though we are desperate I do not want Dansby ---cant these guys just draft properly or bring in the right guys via free agency ? How much time do we really give Mac to get this right ? I have posted how I feel about the way he has addressed the O line and I hate it but as far as LBs he has drafted a few and I will say it again = I hate our Linebackers!!!!!!
