I can believe that he might have been a bit better than my impression of his play in 2017 (statistics can be misleading for defensive tackles), but he had the fewest sacks of his career and fewest tackles since 2012, so I have a tough time believing that he was a top-of-the-league player. It's not like his double teams led other players to get sacks - the Dolphins were 26th in the league in sacks, with only Cameron Wake having a decent year. He certainly hasn't improved any as a human being - ask Ryan Mallett about that.

He’s still a beast...some of you guys are off here

If we get him it’s huge for the defense

Not a big fan of this. There's no reason to overpay a guy that's at the tail end of his career. If they make him an offer it better be a quick 1 year deal or 2 year with the option to cut ties after 1. He's a shell of his former self. He barely played better than Wilkerson last year.

Oh, I think he definitely helps us. Question is, do we want his baggage?

2 things we’ve consistently proved this decade:

    1) Dominant interior DL play gets you nowhere in today’s NFL

    2) Blockbuster FA signings over the age of 30 hardly ever improve the team

Hard pass unless it’s a 1 year deal or the guaranteed $ equivalent

If Jets sign this guy, between him and Pennel, the opposing offense would get 30-45 yards on their possessions without trying.

That's not even counting Buster Skrine and his altruism on the field.

    Please don't do this Mac!!

You guys are concerned that we’re signing Suh? I’m concerned that Macc is turning into Tanny.

We don't, and won't, have an outside pass rush and Williams can't do it all by himself. Suh would be a big help. Coverage sacks can't be attained all of the time, even half of the time, so a some sort of a presence in the front 7 is extremely necessary.

If injury were to befall Brady & we choose correctly on draft day, we could have the best QB situation in the division.

This smacks of the "competitive rebuild" crap that I hoped the team had put in the rear-view mirror. It would be simply overpaying for a declining name player.

Suh is a throwback player he has the reputation he has now but if he had played when Dick Butkus, Deacon Jones, Mean Joe Greene etc. played he'd be considered another great player.

He's too much man for Goodel's pussified NFL.

Still he's on his way to a HOF career and I think there's a chance the best is still yet to come for him.

    I hope he comes here.:)
