the problem is we are already at 3, and if darnold and rosen is gone by then, any QB we take is a big reach IMO. And we pretty much have to take a QB, we could attempt to move back and get some picks back, but that depends on who mac likes and where he thinks they will go. There is no way though we can leave this draft without taking a QB somewhere in the 1st round and every team knows that

Everyones favorite just put on a show of a pro day. Better than anyone expected, clean footwork, perfect accuracy and easily the best arm in the draft. For whatever thats worth, fire away, lol

Footwork and accuracy was MUCH improved, but I'm still concerned about his decision-making/anticipation. I don't think that's as easily fixable. And of course this was under ideal conditions with no opposition.

Perfect accuracy? Guy missed 6 balls he should have connected on. Its air. Footwork was shit looked awkward as hell moving around. Did we watch the same thing?

Rather go with Mayfield in that case. Just feel like Allen has the highest potential to be complete trash.

I know it just a pro day but it’s hard to watch Allen throw and not get excited.

Manziel? LMAO i heard he had a great day throwing in the rain though. would be interesting if a team gave him another shot in the NFL. there was 12 teams there watching the other players and the jets were one of them

I feel the same about mayfield. 99% chance of being a bust in the NFL.

I have been studying up on all 4 QB's and watching highlights. My rankings haven't changed much, but I will say this:

The Top 3 have to be
    1. Darnold
    2. Rosen
    3. Allen

With Mayfield a distant 4th and truly should not be an option for the Jets.

Allen's Pro Day was great today. Obviously has high potential.

Darnold is likely headed to Cleveland, leaving one of the Josh's to lead the Jets for the next decade. I think it will be Rosen, but fans saying they would be upset with drafting Allen are crazy.

Really? I was not impressed at all by his pro day. A bunch of deep throws with no pressure. Oh wow how amazing..

He flicked his wrist and threw it 80 yards! That is impressive. Only so much you can do in a Pro Day, but he did a great job. As did Darnold, Rosen and Mayfield.

I really was not a fan of allen at the start, but i've really warmed up to him lately. at this point as long as it's not mayfield i'll be pretty happy, but i still consider allen and jackson major reaches at 3, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do and if whoever we pick at 3 winds up being our long awaited FQB, then by all means nobody will care how early we took them

Yeah it's not hard to do good at a pro day. Shit Darnold did it in the rain. I don't want a rocket arm qb with shit accuracy on this team. Bust written all over it. I'll even take Jackson before him.

Mayfield has more bust qualities than the 4 top rated guys.. QBs with his size are a rarely pro bowlers because they simply can’t see the middle of the field.

changed my vote - too concerned about Rosen in the medium term - went Baker instead (on the assumption Darnold will be gone)

I don't follow college football, I haven't seen these guys play yet but from what I've read this Baker Mayfield seems like my kinda QB. It seems like he was born to play in this town.

I agree, IF you believe he has issues with decision making these kind of works prove nothing.

I don't agree that it's not repairable. A lot of poor decision making is caused by running for your life, which he did at Wyoming, and playing on a squad without a single NFL level talent on O.

You need to stop. He was very impressive. You're a fool if this is the BS story you're peddling. You really should stay out of all QB discussions and just say I love Mayfield and anything I say is to push him. Allen's workout blew Mayfield's away. Easily.

Yeah, it's also said he may need to head up to the CFL and rebuild his career. Hadn't heard the Jets were there.
