In that case I guess I DO have to really break this down to its simplest form for you to truly understand the words: You said that Mac blew it with Mauldin. He was a 3rd round pick, and he had a very promising rookie year. He was a rotational guy that ended up with 4 sacks and looked every bit a useful pass rusher and that includes damn near becoming paralyzed. In the 3rd round that's what you're looking for, no? A pro football player with the potential to be a starter to really nail the pick. The following year he started off slow and then really trailed off, but anyone with a brain saw that the potential was there. Then this year he sustained a back injury. And considering it would be dumb to label Mauldin a third round bust after a promising first year and down second year, I assumed you meant Mac was at fault for the injury. And that, well that's even dumber. And in regards to Lee, if you didn't see improvement and quite a few flashes, then you're just trying to hate Lee. Maybe I'm missing something here, but when he was drafted, wasn't he widely regarded as a guy that needed some time to develop? I mean... two years in, showing improvement, that seems like signs of development. If he comes out this year and stinks the joint up, then you might have a point. Until then, you're just being a SOJF.
He had a nice rookie season, was looking like he may develop into something and then was injured. Year 2 injured. Came back changed his body and it didnt work out, played worse. All of which has nothing to do with the goofy idea that signing a ver would be a way of covering up the story of Mauldins career not being much up to now.
This is embarrassing. No one is ever to blame for a players injuries, unless he has a history of injury and its ignored. Theres enough legit concern with any young GM, dont make stupid shit up

Normally, I'd laugh at the idea of a 36 year-old LB. It IS too old, but Dansby is a freak. He's had a great career, has been a great player, he can still play, and had good stats last year. He's probably still better than Williamson or Lee even at this point of his career.
