No more Darren Lee hate for me, the new season will be so much easier to cope with without reading all that bile on a daily basis.
Posters are forgetting Mac f*cked this up: Lorenzo Mauldin - Probably won't make the 2018 roster. Darron Lee - Complete waste of a 1st round pick. Should have been taken in the 4th round. Jordan Jenkins - overall an OK player. Had a new nice games last season. How many more through FA? Mac has attempted to fix the LB corp using the draft and FA and he's failed miserably. Now, he's forced to find FA's that can replace his draft choices? That shouldn't be hard.
I really don't understand the interest, other than for pure depth at the position ala what David Harris was supposed to be for New England last season.
Just speculating, but is there any chance they're thinking about Darron Lee as an OLB? I wonder how he'd project there
Well, who the hell else was in control of those draft choices? The fairy godmother? How a player works out with the team matters. It's what sets a good GM apart from a bad one.
This makes so little sense that I'm embarrassed FOR you. So Mac should have known at the combine (since he probably never worked out for the team) that Mauldin was going to have a serious back injury two years into his career? Alllllrighty, whatever you say!
Mac and Toilet always claimed he'd play inside and outside. That he had incredible versatility. LOL He's played exclusively inside and I think that's been because he's challenged just to get that right. I don't believe I've ever seen a LB that's worse in coverage. So maybe it makes sense? Maybe Mac and Toilet are trying to save face and find a place for Lee to fit in?
