You're not factoring in that this is only to move up 3 slots and that a good RB can be found anywhere in the modern NFL draft.

The difference is you're talking about the best 2nd round picks in the league over the past decade and I'm talking about the Jets 2nd round picks in the last decade. Which is more likely?
You cannot trade draft capital with such a mentality. In that case, we might as well trade every draft selection we have, since they are all likely to be busts.
Might I just add, I think Barkley is the best RB prospect in a long time. However, the lack of longevity of the position and the ability to find great RB's anywhere in the modern draft, makes it very dumb to draft one over a potential franchise QB.

If you guys think Darnold, Rosen, etc. is the next John Elway I understand why you would want us to move up and get him. With that said the idea that there are three or even four franchise QBs in this draft is a joke. The top five players are probably two QBs and three other guys so do not be surprised if we do something unexpected should the Browns and Giants both take QBs.
You have no clue what you're talking about with regards to Mayfield. If you did, you wouldn't put Mayfield and Manziel in the same sentence, much less compare them.
If we had a QB, i'd be all for taking barkley at 3, but we don't. QB has to be the pick. I'm hoping cleveland or NYG take barkley which guarantees us rosen or darnold
Utter nonsense! Don't hold your breath on Barkley. Mac wouldn't have traded up to #3 if he only liked 2 QBs. I think he likes at least 3 of them and maybe all 4 of the top 4. The Jets AREN'T drafting Barkley. You can make book on that!
The JETS can move into the next season with Bridgewater, McCown, and Petty/Hack. The QB's in this draft aren't ahead of Bridgewater or McCown. If Mac doesn't take Batkley he is a fool. IMHO we made the move up to get Barkley, if he makes it to 3.
