meh, this guy is 30 and had a terrible year last year.

My biggest issue with him is laziness, go watch tap of him on Washington. EVERY run play, his mouth piece is dangling from his facemask, every pass play, it's in his mouth.

Special teams and the occasional option/WildCat/fleaflicker.. ST's needs all the help it can get.

Does Anderson's trial still start today?

I could get behind it on a one-year "prove it" deal. Any guarantees past 1 year... no thanks.

Agreed. 1 year deal, value salary from the Jets point of view, would give him a shot at redemption. He was awful last year.

We are sitting on a ton of cash and this would be a good signing for us.

Wallace is still available but getting old. Not many FA receivers out there and we do need at least one. I like his height and if he can stay healthy he would be ok. He is only 1 year removed from a 1000+ yard season with the BROWNS.

    Sign him up.

Two seasons ago he caught 77 for 1007 yds in Cleveland, so that's not too shabby. Plus, he's 6'6" 240lbs, essentially a WR with TE dimensions. He, teamed with Enunwa, could make it very tough on opposing DBs, and give our new #3 rookie QB a nice big target. If it's a reasonable contract and he's a good fit personality-wise, then why not?

At minimum he provides us insurance if Anderson goes off the rails again or gets suspended. Anderson is the only true deep threat on the team right now.

I don't know how he doesn't get suspended. They say there is a plea deal on the table and if he accepts it get gets suspended and if he doesn't and goes to trial he could end up in jail..they have him on 3 felonies and a potential 15 years.

Yeah that's what I think too but honestly I don't know the details so we'll see.

Apparently Wilson is pushing for him in Seattle. Aka Seattle certainly needs the help losing Jimmy & Richardson.

If it's cheap, it's a low-risk, high-reward deal. I like this because this receiving group will answer a lot of questions this year that will set it in a number of different trajectories. Will Enunwa return to form? Will Robby stay on the field/out of trouble? Will Stewart and Hansen show they belong? I think it's possible this group will be very good into the future as is, or there'll be some disappointments. So I like the 1-year deal here. Any more would be stupid for a guy coming off such a down year

Mac signs him, then ships Anderson out for a 2nd rd pick.

on a 1 year prove it deal, he'd be a great addition to the team, but i wouldn't offer anything long term or expensive. maybe a couple of million with incentives

On one hand I'm in favor of this because Anderson has been in legal trouble 2 straight years and we need to get some picks back after giving up three 2nd rounders to move up to the 3rd pick. On the other hand, history hasn't been kind to our 2nd round picks, and I oppose this. Tough decision. :D
