It's not snowing that hard (more like freezing rain actually), but I still love these kind of games. Apparently, Favre doesn't even have feeling in his pinky and pointer finger on his throwing hand due to last week's injury. Hasselbeck isn't 100% either, coming off a leg injury.
I really enjoy watching games like this. Let's see if these teams back up what I've said here in the past- snow does not always equal low scoring games.
Wow, let's hope Favre tosses a few gifts like that next week, too. The snow probably has something to do with it, but man, the Seahawks suck at wrapping up tackles. 4 Turnovers in the game already (would've been 5, if Alexander lost that fumble), and it's only the beginning of the 2nd quarter.
I still say Greg Jennings is better than Marques Colston. If Jennings stays healthy, he will be a major force at the WR position for years to come.
Who knows what Rodgers is capable of? He hasn't even gotten an opportunity to start a game yet, and probably won't until Favre is gone. To decide that he isn't capable of being their future QB based off of his 50 or so career attempts is a bit premature. And yes, Greg Jennings looks like a very promising player. What round was he drafted in? I remember his stock dropped a bit thanks to a poor 40 time or something.
I think Favre will come back to play in 2007. I don't know if the new coaching staff likes Rodgers or not. I certainly don't like him, so I'm with you there.

Seems like this game is providing some support to your theory. I guess a case can be made for it, since a slippery surface is probably a lot more disadvantageous for defenders (especially players in the secondary), than offensive players at the skill positions. WRs at least know where they're suppose to be going, and if they're able to run their routes crisply, CBs will have a hard time reacting and staying on them without solid footing.
Uh, I was never particularly sharp when it comes to math, but why go for 2 there? If the Hawks kick the extra point, they make it 26-21. A 5-point lead. If the Hawks go for 2-point conversion, they make it 27-21. A 6-pt lead. Either way, a following Packer FG doesn't tie or give them the lead, and a Packer TD still makes it possible for the Hawks to take back the lead with a FG. So, why would the Hawks take that risk of going for 2, when failing would mean that if the Packers score a TD, the Hawks FG would only tie the game, as opposed to win it if they just kicked the extra pt instead.
As long as the Jets get an early lead, it should be a pretty manageable game. Favre turns into an interception machine when he's trying to come back from behind, and I'm sure Kerry Rhodes and crew should be able to take advantage of that.
Horrible to watch the end of that game. Seahawks were favored by 9.5 in my Yahoo league. I had Seattle and was in the lead with a 10-5 record. Luckily, the Packers didn't score a cosmetic touchdown and I finished 11-5 this week. Endings like in tonight's game will drive you nuts.
