To add- I personally like it considering how the games is played and how QB’s have exponentially different degrees of value versus non QB’s
Hopefully he will by the time he’s ready to start . We still have guys that are going to shake lose from other teams ... who knows what this team will look like come opening day ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The issue with this is this; if they are eyeing a certain guy, how the hell do they know who will be there?!? Unless they believe in 3 guys, but thats hard to believe. This is what the Eagles did, they didnt know for sure they would get Wentz, it did pay off, but what the Jets did is more riskier because its the 3 spot not the 2.
And he has successfully gambled how many times? There have been guys here spanking him for his first round picks numerous times but he has basically sat and waited each time. And never once done good at QB. What is the reason for believing he won't screw the pooch here? I'm not saying or predicting he will bust. I just don't see why there is so much confidence that he'll win out.
By the way, I still haven't seen a single valid argument that proves we didn't give up a 1st round pick. Do you guys concede or what?
Use your awesome powers for good, Byz Markie. There's no gray area. Everyone knows the terms of the deal. You're the only poster who gets away with this thread.
Imagine if the Bills traded up to secure the Colts pick. How much more would it have cost to move up then? Any chance of moving up at that point becomes enormously expensive - if not outright impossible! Are we trading to 1 in that scenario? That would have cost a ransom. Trading to the 2 spot? Yeah right - Giants would have told us to pound sand! Would the cost have been much less to trade to 4 to leapfrog Denver? I doubt it considering our percieved level of desperation at that point. If Mac wanted to move up - he had to get it done before Buffalo imo. Well done Mac. (and I agree with OP - it's mental gymnastics to say that we didn't trade our 1st rounder. I see what some people are trying to say but... it's a reach.)
Absolutely right, he had to do it now and he tried to trade to the number 1..I doubt he even reached out to the Giants about the 2 but you can be sure Buffalo will and maybe even Denver.
Someone is trying to get his daily dose of attention in today. I'm waiting for a valid argument that they did give up 4 picks.
Come on toon. And yes, it took me years to figure out your fucking username. I'm sick of people making a false claim of a trade. The Jets gave up a first and 3 other picks for a first. It's stupid to claim otherwise and it annoys me that other Jets fans are doing so. Just admit the terms of the deal.
