    Darnold or Rosen, not Allen

This may be true, but they were having discussions with the Colts since Monday, so before both pro days. I hope it's Rosen/Mayfield. I don't want any part of Allen.

Has he been linked to Allen? Do you know when Allen's pro day is.

All this trading up would never have been needed if Toliet Bowles had just put Petty or Hack in last season, lol

    Talk about ironic lunatic reasoning.....

This is an angle that can't be denied. The QB creates all kinds of hype and interest.

We can’t believe anything that is written or said between now and draft day. I will continue to believe it’s Rosen, Darnold or Baker until the commissioner announces Josh Allen at 3.

Has he gone near Allen at all?

He was all over Baker and Rosen....just like he was with Hack  lol.

I have to think that with moving in to 3, Mac as assured himself that any one of the 3 QB's he feels enamored with , Baker/Rosen/Darnold will be there. It's the only logic that makes any sense to this maneuver of giving up 3 #2's.

Agree, I don't believe the Jets moved up for Allen. However, there was a lot of oohing and ahhing over Allen at the Combine. While there may be franchises that will stay away for the reasons you stated, I think there are some that will love him, and all it takes is one. I think he has the biggest upside of any QB in the draft, and if he was the Jets choice at #6, I wouldn't be too upset about it.

Everyone should read Albert Breers article on SI about this, it a nice little piece of inside information about the Jets setting out to fix the QB situation this offseason. Honestly this move alone and hearing about the plan have put Mac in a whole new light to me. Hope he gets this right.

I'd say he likes both Baker and Rosen then. I worry less about Allen now

I think that's a crock of shit. I'd believe that only when I saw it. IMO, it's between Rosen and Mayfield because the Browns are taking Darnold at 1 and the Giants are taking Barkley at 2.

It would be pretty funny if he stopped there, coughed a few times, and said "uh, where was I?". Calls to 911 would suddenly spike up in the New York metro area.

thank god. giving up all that for mayfield would be a disaster. i'm calling right now, mayfield winds up as a bust.

my best hope is the browns take barkey and the giants take rosen and we get darnold

Remind me how many road games Rosen won this year?
I can only hope it's Allen or Mayfield.

We would be lucky to get Allen, although could have got him at 6. Vast majority of posters here have never seen him play a single game. I agree with your rankings..

Tell me why you like Allen. I don't know much about him except that he's a monster and could make plays like Roesthlisberger shedding tacklers and throwing down field on broken plays. My impression is he relies on his big arm, almost solely, and also hearing things like he's not that smart. Not that I believe that.
I wanna hear in case we take him lol.

The popular narrative on Allen on this board is that he only has an arm.
His arm is of course ridiculous.
He also has crazy size and athleticism comparable to Elway.
He played in the elements and in a pro style system. His footwork behind center and in play action is excellent. His throwing motion is excellent.
His intangibles in terms of attitude, leadership, coachability, and toughness are through the roof. I haven't heard anything negative on football intelligence except on this board.

He can extend plays, throws very well on the run, and can pick up chunk yardage with his legs. He will be very tough to defend in short ydg situations like Newton. Also a threat to toss bombs on a long field.

Don't just take my word. look at what analysts like Mayock, Kiper, McShay etc have said about him, or better yet watch some of the film.

I will say he prob needs to sit a year, and needs to work on touch and footwork.
If you prefer a guy more ready to go this season Mayfield is my guy.
