Yep..Mac wanted Insurance on top of insurance..my feeling was just get Joshy M back to mentor the kid we take draft day..sheesh
I get you Brad. But isn't it possible both the QBs they've identified could be gone? it's a lot of capital to give up not knowing who will be there. You are always talking about getting younger, and having key players on rookie deals. We gave up 3 premium draft positions to move up this 3 slots.
I enjoyed beating the Dolphins, Jaguars, Browns, Bills, and Chiefs though! Don't take my fun away. Take my 2nd Round picks!
I absolutely think 4 qbs would have gone in the first 5 picks. Colts were fielding other offers and would have traded back regardless. Browns, Buffalo, Denver and NYG could all easily have taken QBs before us.
It means the Jets like a QB and don’t want miss out. The are not satisfied with waiting it out and taking a QB for the sake of taking one.
So just to be clear, I'm an idiot for thinking the team that drafted Hackenburg and Petty should probably not traded 3 2nds for what could possibly be their 3rd option at QB? You literally have Sanchez as your avatar and are confused as to why some fans aren't sold on this trade? lol And Mark was actually one of the best QBs we've had in recent years...which speaks volumes
I'll give you the Dolphins and Bills. Jags and Chiefs however could have posted L's and still not felt bad about it.
I was just saying in relation to his point. He said we should have waited at #6 because we could have had Barkley or Chubb. So, I asked him what would he do if the board fell this way. It was proceeded by several other players. Of course there are always back up plans. His back up plan was Barkley or Chubb. Well that won't work. So he would prefer Plan C over Plan A.
My new question is, if QB 1 and 2 are gone off the draft board, do you draft option 3 or take the BPA at that point?
The Colts chose to deal with us rather than the bills. Obviously 6 is better than 12. How would everyone feel of the bills traded everything including their LT to get a FQB that we have to play twice a year because we were to cheap. Were trying to win a superbow and be in contention for 10 years. not build a 8-10win team Yes 2nds are players too. But we have the $$$$$$$ to pick up players in the 2nd wave of FA. The Colts are happy and the giants will take Barkley or Nelson for their O. We have our choice of probably 3 out of 4 qbs or worse 2 out of 4. If we stayed at 6 we would at best get a qb and worse no qb. Sent from my SM-G610Y using Tapatalk
Been banging this drum for months now ...plus 100k..the 3 guys are very good so WHY PAY MORE DRAFT DAY Best news I've heard in 8 years
If TB becomes our starter maybe he has some trade value during the season for a pick in the 19 draft. There's also the possibility of a comp pick for him in 20 if he signs elsewhere next season.
I know lol, just being sarcastic. I need to add /s more. I really wouldn't be shocked by anything though. Praying its the QB.
Macc is all in for QB. You have to take your BPA-QB no matter what at this point or the entire Tri-State area would have Macc's head on a spike parading outside MetLife. There's no going back now for Macc. Its literally QB or bust.
nd We've dealt with Tom Brady for the last 15 years....pretty sure some rookie QB the Bills take wouldn't scare me\ Half of these guys atleast are busts anyway
It's ridiculous to think this was a bad move. I'm sorry, but if you get your fqb it's worth way fucking more than 3 2nd round picks to fill spots you can fill via fa. If his guy is gone by 3 he still has a hefty chip to bargain with. You cannot satisfy jet fans. Ever. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Bates' involvement is reassuring. I just have nightmares about our GM as a quarterback talent evaluator. The fact that he could look at Hackenberg and think he was worth drafting in the second round, it gives me great apprehension about him making this pick.
