We probably offered him more just like we did Cousins.We might be one more year away from truly getting those elite free agents. The big thing is the QB Watson really has a ton a fans in the league. As much as i like Bridgewater i cant blame for players not being sold into us yet.

A year away is so true. So former FAs will be FAs again next year. If Mac has gambled correctly, it'll allow him to continue remaking the Jets offense and defensive pieces. (There's a downside to it, too, though. On the off-chance that the Vikings fans are correct about Bridgewater -- in that he recovers fully and turns a major corner -- and looks like a long-term answer for the Jets, Mac may have to decide pretty quickly whether they want to keep him in-house or gamble on Rosen/Mayfield/etc. Although, I guess that's a good problem to have.)
If I had the choice between the Texans who were on fire before Watson got hurt or this mess of an organization that we love,,,,,,I will say it again no one is running to play for Bowels and Mac unless you give them a lot of cash = see Johnson and in many cases see Cousins = even stupid amounts of money aint bringing them here

Judging by the contract they gave Mike Pennel (3yrs/10.5M), wouldn't be surprised if he's a big part of that. They also resigned Xavier Cooper, who seemed solid last year.
