Stopped at the Bronx Brewery Friday night after a double shift to stock up. Sorry I only had 1 American Pale Ale and 3 Merlot yesterday! Sorry to disappoint.
Lakeland Brewing Company is closing it's doors after 3 years, figures I just moved here and they close down, but to get rid of the beer they still have were selling $1 pints and $4 growlers this past weekend. If you have a spare keg hanging around they would even fill those. I really don't drink that much any more so you likely won't find me in this thread. Also getting ready to hit the road and pick up the new travel trailer so I'll be on the road much of the time, don't think National Parks have much wi-fi service, so even when I do drink I won't be able to stumble into this thread. New drink for this week; the Stormy Daniels. Jack Daniels, Ginger Beer and Orange Bitters. Shake, stir and keep shaking and stirring.
Since I can't drink as much I am trying to explore the Cocktail stuff. Want to make my own Mojito's or Pina Colada's. I will start my journey soon.
Way too much work, keep it simple with vodka and soda with a twist of lime, or even simpler get Absolut Citron and no need to deal with the lime. Screw it, vodka shots, even simpler.
You make a good point. Too much work and expensive. Most likely I will start and give up shortly but still want to try this.
Hey you have some experience in cocktails educate me. Do we have a bartender or a past bartender on this board?
Started bartending at 15 but it was at a Scandinavian beach club so if you ordered anything more exotic than a Screwdriver people would laugh you out of the place. Though early mornings we did a lot of bloody marys, used the mix though so it was easy. When I started having to look up how to make your drink it was nowhere near as strong as my regulars that ordered a jack and coke or a vodka tonic.
