The smartest available plan is still what it always has been ... trade up to draft Darnold and then spend an absurd amount of money in free agency to build a Top 5 offensive line.
Its not even mediocre they are striving for. Its a big middle finger to the fans that the status quo is perfectly fine cause you suckers...sorry I meant fans are gonna pay anyway.
Bringing him back is not even a band aid. Its Macc and Bowles trying to save face. If this is your big QB signing its a failure because McCown will do just enough to lose games for you.
I am much more relaxed than I was yesterday. Lets bring in a few more guys today (O-Line), and turn our attention to the draft.
"Plan H" was funny, but even funnier is how things unfolded yesterday as compared to this thread. Jets have probably been the most active team thus far.
not really a plan for a GM though is it? How many GMs would survive more than one failed 1st round QB pick?
His value is experience and a willingness to lend it to our new rookie QB. Seems like he'll be a coach after he hangs them up. Any play time is just a transition. We talk about bridge QBs a lot but he's actually filling that role this year.
You could have spent the entire $100 million this year on O line in free agency and you still would not have a top 5 o line. Premium players don't hit free agency unless they are old, declining , injured, or detrimental to the team.
How did he do with Petty and Hackenberg? I rest my case. He should stay far and away from any new QB coming in. This place is the only place I've seen in the world wide web that talks about McCown being some kind of QB whisperer.
