man I did a lot of begging today but it looks like this is a Long Island deal,Boston and New England get crushed ,,Nam just came out and it wallops Eastern Li,,,,,,this could have been some storm for us had the timing been better and had it been more west but the phasing appears to happen too late,,,,,we will see how this plays out,,,I don't expect but a few inches if that, I think its just too far East,,enjoy the snow LI,,,,,,Jay great updates,,,its now cast time,,,,,for some anyways
maybe I threw the towel in too soon ? I mean everything is west today, EVERYTHING and now the RAP is wayyyyyy west ! It might be time to look at a radar and out the window LOL .
Well this ones moving kind of fast------we have 2 hour delays for school here. I have to admit I am ready for Spring,,,,,but we might have another one of these to deal with next week------enjoy the snow LI and whoever else is getting this
I was reading stuff yesterday online and there were a few people that have been doing this a while that thought the phasing that I thought could happen ------> WOULD happen sooner,,,,,,,,I still don't know enough about the science and how much of this works probably never will but when I saw the ULL diving south I thought it had a chance to pull it in sooner-----> I was dead wrong. This was a good setup too bad these 3 storms did not happen a month ago when there was cold air to interact with,,,,,,at least the first 2 storms would have been much different as far as snow totals and less damage. PS looks like there a chance of 1 more next week so we are not out of the woods yet .
We got a foot plus (again). Power still good. Internet still good. This is right up there with '78 for me, although '78 was one long storm that gave us 4+ feet of snow. Also it was cold as hell that month so the snow just hung around forever.
A week from today is the day to watch....hinting at a warm up after that so this could be the final shot. Now...there is decent agreement considering how far out this is for the following areas..PA/NJ/CT/NYC/L.I. Again...far out but if you hate the white stuff...I'm a big believer to watch stuff far out only when each model hints at something...and they do. Hopefully for you Brook, it doesn't happen...but there is a chance. Now 2 days from now we can be talking about how its off the radar and spring is about to bloom...lets hope so,
I'm sneaking around watching this site even on the Jets page...you are doing a wonderful job Brook...you have that even personality that looks to deflect conflict before it gets going....keep up the good work and they picked a wonderful person to do that job.
Well thank you Jay. I really try my best and I hope I am doing a good job and helping this great fan site. If you are keeping an eye on the Jets forum, please post there as well so we can benefit from your wonderful comments.
Thank you Brook...very kind. Keep up the great work!! Just checked the long term models...and boys...for those that have had it with winter...not liking what I'm seeing. This pattern...is ripe for the setup for that system. I mean...man...the pattern of this winter is to bomb out on the east coast and this system has as good ingredients as any of the past 3 storms...I believe if not better. Again, the story will be written if several things happen and one is the main system this time coming in from the Plains. Will have a better idea by Thursday or Friday if this is a serious tracker.
