Cousins must be loving the Brees and Keenum signing knowing he is even more valuable to the Vikings now.
I'd be happy if they signed Weston Richburg or even Ryan Jensen at C. They need to ensure they have competency at this position immediately. Then they need to lock down two CBs. A Claiborne resign is good, but not essential. Trumaine Johnson worries me a little, as does Malcolm Butler, but would accept either, preferably Butler. There are a lot of good CBs though and they need to secure this spot. I hope they can resign Demario Davis, but if he gets a giant deal, over like $9M/year, they can look elsewhere. Avery Williamson? I'd like to see them sign a DL to replace Mo Wilk unless they really like the Xavier Cooper and Kony Ealy (who they should resign cheap) there. DaQuan Jones might be a fit. Don't want Sheldon back. If not ASJ, I want Trey Burton, and may even prefer him to ASJ. Otherwise, might they need to look to the draft again? Can't count on Leggett yet. I'd be excited to have Teddy Bridgewater, but not as the only offseason addition. Would still want a QB high. With Robinson and Watkins gone, I'm skeptical of other WRs. Paul Richardson maybe, but I'd almost prefer a draftee, maybe one who can return kicks or punts (Dante Pettis?). Also would rather RB via the draft I like their depth at OLB actually, so I'd rather they target a pass-rusher early in the draft. There seem to be a bunch of good prospects. So for me, the sky isn't falling yet. They can still very well have a successful free agency period. I'm bracing for some higher-than-expected contracts though; seems inevitable in free agency anymore
Yep; in no way precludes them from taking a QB at 5. At risk of reading into it too much, this could be another spot for Josh Allen or Sam Darnold in particular as they seem to be more likely to need to sit before playing whereas Mayfield and Rosen are thought of as more NFL-ready?

Our brain dead GM refused to go after those three and god bless him, one is Fitz mk3 and the other is an injury prone WR, now Robinson would have been worth a go but at what cost ? He hasn't signed for the Bears for the chance of a ring, so I presume his bank balance has grown substantially.
I don't want to be "that guy", but this is getting really fucking annoying watching all the top names commit and us not getting 1 player.
Bridgewater DAMN! The longer this Cousins deal takes, the less likely we get any top FAs. No top FA is going to come here without a QB in place or at least a plan.
How have we not signed a single free agent yet? Aren't we required to spend around $90 million this offseason with the salary cap rules? I understand you can't get everyone, but with the Jets cap space, why didn't we get Allen Robinson for $14 million a year or Richburg. We need help on the offensive line.
If we whiff on Cousins, Richburg, Robinson, Watkins... yikes. It's going to be hard to justify that. We need to be in on Butler and Trumaine Johnson like, now.
Because we do not have a QB to attract FA's. If we had a (competent) QB in place, Richburg becomes interested and his job becomes a lot easier. If we had a (competent) QB in place, ARob may give us a look over Chicago.
