Minn interest in Brees doesn’t mean they won’t also be having discussions with Cousins. Besides, Minn can’t be so delusional that they think they can actually pry Brees from NO.
Doubt it. Broncos signing Keenum, and trying to win now, makes them more likely to either stay put and draft another player who can help them immediately, or trade out to a QB needy team for two first rounders if they have a few highly graded players who will be there at 12 and 22. I wonder if another team has those picks and fits that Bill?
How is it possible that you’ve missed the 80 stories over the last week about the Eagles wanting a first round pick and more for him?
Busy today with the house inspection etc. But will write something tomorrow if he is still on the market.
when Cousins picks the Vikings that documentary he's making showing the Jets kissing his ass is gonna make us all puke
That’s weird. I do too. Yet somehow i managed to log on to the internet and see it on every sports site, social media page, etc.
The bigger concern with Keenum leaving Minnesota, as Comini points out, is that Minnesota must be confident they have Cousins all but signed.
True but I think they made it perfectly clear that they aren’t going to trade him just to trade him, especially since there is no guarantee Wentz is ready for the start of the season.
I don't think they had intentions on bringing back Keenum I thought. Or they are just putting all their marbles in on Kirk and could fuck themselves if the Jets somehow land him.
That makes no sense. What do you think that conversation would have sounded like otherwise? Keenum — I have an offer from the Broncos to be their starter. Minn — don’t sign it. If we strike out on Cousins and Brees we’d like you back. Keenum — okey dokey, I’ll just wait for you to tell me what to do. Really? The moment Keenum had another offer Minn either had to drop the pursuit of any other QB or take a risk that they may lose out on both. the Broncos signing Keenum quickly reflects they had no chance at Cousins, but it doesn’t mean Minn believed Cousins is a certainty.
