he's not. people need to not look at the numbers and lok at game film instead. most of the time he has wide open targets and all day to throw and even then his throws were ugly. he's captain dink and dunk with a weak arm. Allen has more talent IMO but i don't like allen either. he reminds me of hack and cutler too much. Huge arm but not much else going for him. and his mechanics and throws are ugly as hell.
I agree with Mayfield not being the most talented but he does seem to have that IT factor. Perfect fit for NY and we stay at 6.
the "IT" factor scares me. same things people said aout other lack of talent QBs like tebow and manziel. I'd rather see talent.
The fact that you call him captin dink and dunk shows me that your not really watching a lot of his games. His arm has plenty of velocity and he can push the ball down the feild with anyone in this class of QBs not named Allen. He excels at the RPO game and can make throws with power or touch depending on waht the situation calls for. He may not be the classic pocket passer everyone wants, but the NCAA game is not really producing those much anymore.
Well, whaddaya know. An 80 yard bomb. LOL! I'll eat crow on that one. I guess I meant 90-100 yard bombs... Yeah.. That's it...
But seriously how we do with FA acquisitions will set the tone for our draft picks. We have too many holes but we can quickly improve with the right moves, selections and luck.
In fairness to you the ball only traveled 60 yards in the air and hit the receiver in stride for the 80 TD
If we miss on our primary targets in free agency, it’s time to seriously consider humbling ourselves into using a Browns maneuver as a reference point. They used 10M of cap space to trade for Brock Osweiller knowing he had no place w the team in exchange for a 2nd rounder. We can then use that same philosophy to take on a bad contract or 2 as ammunition to combat Buffalo & Miami to go along w earlier more premium picks already in hand in the event of a trade up.This will prevent us from running short on resources this draft or reach too far into future years. We shouldn’t senselessly trade up in a panic, however if there is a QB who isn’t gonna go #1 or 2 that the team has conviction about AND we don’t land Cousins this isn’t the time to sit back..division rivals are forcing our hand. https://www.google.com/amp/s/syndic...ry-nfl-teams-best-and-worst-contract.amp.html
