I like snow due to my kids. They enjoy the snow day and seeing the happiness in their faces makes it all worth it. They also go to slopes and enjoy being North East kids. Other than that I hate snow truly.
again...for NYC..its possible that it might lighten a bit...but there are bands off the ocean heading for for L.I. and NYC and then on north and west that will have 2 to 3" and hour rates. Check out the yellow to the south of NYC/L.I. That is whiteout stuff heading their way radar: https://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?product=NCR&rid=DIX&loop=yes
Wow. Madison over 20 inches. This is crazy my friend. I bet schools will be closed tomorrow as well. Not sure where they will put this much snow tomorrow to keep the schools open.
Ummm...yeah....yeah...that's it for me...the children. I forgot...I HATE this stuff...my boys..its all about my boys. Swear.
NNJ National weather forecast just upped numbers again: from the NWS: This Afternoon Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Some thunder is also possible. High near 33. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. North wind 11 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 12 to 18 inches possible. Tonight Snow likely, mainly before 10pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 30. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. Northwest wind 11 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible. if my math is correct...that's now 14-22" of snow and again...we talked about this yesterday and I bolded above. NORTH WIND. There is the key to the whole storm and why the numbers go up. Colder solution for almost everybody.
theres not enough wind for a blizzard dude....have you learned nothing on this board? Theres about 2 inches on ground in Newtown Jay. so unless i get that 2 inches per hour for a solid 5 hours, i aint getting the foot youre telling me about...and 18 inches? no chance
Jon...I treasure the thought of you coming on here at midnight to say "jay...I'm sorry. You are the man...sure...your a loser Jet fan...been a loser Jet fan all your life..hell..you even made one of your boys a Jet fan which assures you no heaven but hell...still...I got over a foot of snow" Something like that.
hhahha not gonna get a foot here dude.....I htink I know a liiiiiiiilte bit more about weather than you do bud on a serious note, unless i get two inches per hour for 5 more hours, it aint happening....and it turned to rain for a few minutes a little bit ago....back to snow now but not as heavy.....we'll see
and here is a radar just for you jon....now go and practice your speech. JONNNYD RADAR: https://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?product=NCR&rid=okx&loop=yes
Haha...you might be right...I posted a radar for you. CT is not close to getting the heaviest stuff yet...its coming my bud.
Saw the city on weather channel and you are dead on. Its going to have to really pick up in pace to get through that there...will it? I think yes.
pretty sweet to have my oqn radar, aint gonna lie. But if that is telling me 20 inches, I officially no longer believe in radars
