I would merge it anyway. If people can't handle posting Cousins rumors in the specific designated Cousins mega thread, then that's on them. Just my 2 cents.
Oh I just wanted to make the point that any report from people not named Schefter is baseless and shitty, I don't ACTUALLY care
I'm gonna have to disagree, a rebuild has to be done through the draft with the complimentary players coming in FA. The Jags did a good job of doing both, drafting high impact players and signing high impact players. 11 drafted players are starting for them with 7 of their drafted players being on offense, that's huge, to think that David Caldwell has hit on all those picks. Signing FA is not really hard, they have proven to be impact players, you know what they can do that's why they are sought after, if a team has enough money they can be lured by the big payday. If Caldwell had missed on 7 of the offenvise players he drafted, all the FA they signed would amount to one thing, a team that had a good defense, that's it. It has to be done using both methods, drafting high impact players and signing good FA. Spending on good FA alone will not get it done. Seeing what Caldwell did with his picks, really has bummed me out. 7 out of 11 players he drafted are quality starters on offense and the other 4 are quality starters on defense. He's only been there 4 years and he has found 11 quality starters. What the hell is Mac doing?
I feel like the Revis holdout thread was the longest. Also the "brainless Schottenheimer bashing" thread.
Try to keep up, will you? You're getting to be a real pain in the ass. I used the word "fear" because that was the word used in the post to which I responded. The point is that through fear of being shown up, or a desire to control their own situation or something else, some guys go off the general route and refuse to throw at the combine. Some do it because they have an injury and want the extra time to be at their peak; nobody has a problem with that. The guys that do it for other reasons are not looked on favorably by those analyzing the situation. The teams want to see a guy work outside of his comfort zone, even if just a little. Nobody "ignored" that they'll all throw at their Pro Day, but when these guys get a chance to showcase their talents two shots is better than one unless they don't think they can stand up to the guy next to them. How can you say that "many have done it and it didn't hurt them in any way?" A few were the number one, but even that doesn't mean they weren't looked on a little less favorably. Even Manning became the number one when Leaf went overboard on trying to control his own situation. How many of the guys who were not the first pick were knocked down because they didn't throw? I don't know and you don't know. And WTF does this mean? "You. Allied Darnold afraid?"
I think someone said former Redskins TE Chris Cooley said that. How he has inside info about the Vikings? No one knows, because he doesn't. Might have to sit back and not worry about speculation until Schefter tweets where he is officially going next week.
I just heard it on either ESPN radio or WFAN, can't remember which. Nothing confirmed, though, just a rumor apparently. I just don't get how people already know offers for teams, when nobody is even allowed to negotiate yet. It sure seems like everyone either does it anyway, or these media clowns just lie out their ass and make up rumors for ratings.
not sure if i am nuts but i think keenum is more than a legitimate starter. needs a good OL and at least 1 dependable receiver to be effective...... of course that eliminates the jets.
He's been a backup his whole career/bad his whole career for a reason. He's terrible. You put any QB behind that line with those receivers and they can be competent.
