we really need more then 1 option on the poll. regardless for me sitting at 6 if sam is there we take him, if not we slide back in the draft for more picks and take jackson I don't want allen, rosen, or mayfield

Allen has a better chance of being hack then marino. don't fall in love with his arm. that's what mac did with hack. But he never turned into a good QB. we've seen the mistake of taking the big arm Qbs over and over in hte NFL. allen is just another in the line of a bad QB with a huge arm.

Ya I used ARod as a comparison for guys who had awkward throwing motions and it got fixed over time.

Darnold will be good as long as he doesn’t go to the Browns. If he can sit behind Eli ala ARod/Favre he could really benefit using that time to correct his throwing motion and learn the nfl game.

Allen had a terrible OL and WRs that couldn’t find separation. His OL was so bad the guy had a contested throw on almost 90% of his passes. The guy was running for his life a lot too. In the SR bowl with better receivers and a waaaay better OL he made all the “bread and butter” throws. I watch a lot of prospects and I’m telling you that this kid is going to be the best in this draft. He is a farm boy with good character and won’t throw his cowboy teammates under the bus but look closer at the film. His OL was absolutely terrible and his WRs were sub par.

I like Lamar and if Allen or Darnold are gone I’d take him at 6. Before Mayfield or Rosen. Rosen is the most polished QB but his injuries can’t be ignored. Mayfield is a true gamer and I love that about him, I just feel his velocity isn’t enough to play 8 games at the meadowlands. Lamar I believe will have the best start out of all the QBs this year. I’m a bit weary of how much he relies on his feet the same way RG3 did and in the NFL,1 hit can ruin your career.

Just to be clear... "the other" is Allen.

Is it scary to say that Mayfield might be the safer pick between Rosen, Allen, and Mayfield? History could say he was. Rosen is the most talented of the 3, but he might have a tough time passing the interview process. A coach will need some big stones to link his career with that cat. Could pay off and be the best move a coach ever makes. Could also get him laughed out of the league.

I think all of them could have outstanding careers, but there is no doubt in my mind that Sam Darnold is the safest quarterback in this draft. I think he has the most upside too. No way (in my mind) Cleveland is letting Darnold fall past No 1 overall.

The bad team aspect the same could be said for Lamar and Rosen too. All of those QBs had bad supporting casts. IDK about Allen, but I think if I had a choice between him and Mayfield, I MIGHT go Allen. He has the lowest floor out of any of the QBs in this draft though.

In terms of the RG3 comparison, they aren't the same type of player. RG3 was a trackstar, Lamar Jackson played football his whole life. There games aren't similar in any way. Lamar's rookie year, run some RPOs as well, he could very well be the best RPO QB in the league along with Watson. That will allow him to adjust to the NFL.

Yea cause it’s that easy to trade up to 1 or 2. What are you giving up to get Rosen or Darnold? And to whom?

If one of them is available at 3, I call Indy and ask what the price for the 3rd pick is. I don't see the Browns trading out of the top spot or the Giants trading with the Jets. Obviously, it won't be cheap, but moving up 3 spots shouldn't be too costly.

True, but he fumbles too much, throws too many interceptions, and has a relatively slow delivery which could lead to a lot of deflected and intercepted passes in the NFL. Darnold scares me every bit as much as Allen, just for different reasons.

No, because I think that Mayfield may just be the safest pick between those three QBs, but then again, I also think he's safer than Darnold. I'm no longer worried about Rosen mentally, it's his build and injury history that would scare me off of him. I don't think he lasts 3 years in the NFL with his small frame and injury/concussion history. Allen is boom or bust. I think Darnold could wind up being a bust as well. He's too inconsistent, throws too many interceptions, fumbles too much, and with his throwing motion could wind up with a lot of interceptions in the NFL or passes that get knocked down.

I hope that Cleveland takes Darnold, the Giants take Nelson, the Colts take Chubb, the Browns take Barkley, the Broncos take Rosen, and Mayfield drops to us.

I KNEW you'd like Allen and Jackson. You always gravitate to the boom or bust prospects. LOL I wouldn't hate Allen, but would Jackson. I think he winds up a WR in the NFL or is Mike Vick redoux, and I want no part of that.

Why in the world would you want Jackson but not Rosen or Mayfield? Jackson is more likely to wind up a WR or a Michael Vick clone than a quality NFL QB.

lmao people still thinking he will be a WR, man that is as ignorant as it comes. Then again, I guess if we got Lamar we would luck into a SB or a franchise QB.

Well a senile old man said that so may as well run with it. I think he’s a lot closer to the best QB prospect then he is the 5th best QB prospect. Although I would certainly take Darnold over him I wouldn’t certainly take any other over him at this point in the process.

vick was a quality QB for quite some time. and even vick said jackson is more talented then him. jackson has the same running ability but a better arm then vick. and he is a passer first. I think he has the highest upside of all the Qbs in the draft and plus his mobility means he can likely start pretty early in his career. he also doesn't run the ball over like the other QBs do. he had 119 total TDs to only 27 INTs and is a 3 year starter. he can make all the throws and has the big arm and the touch. Mayfield is limited talentwise. he isn't near as good as jackson. He's also undersized and has character issues (arrested for drunken conduct and resisting arrest) honestly i don't get the mayfield love on this board. I wouldn't personally take him in the 1st round at all. Rosen is a dick and an injury risk. Allen has hack 2.0 written all over him. I'd rather get darnold or jackson those are the 2 i think will be successful in the NFL. I'd wager darnold is the safer bet, but i think jackson will be the best of the class
