Well everyone has declared for the million dollar dance...i would too

I hope Mac earns his salary and tries to get Rosen or SD

Predict we get lucky and land Allen or Rosen

Wouldn't complain with Mayfield either...kid has heart of a winner

Just read a mock with Cleveland pissed off at Rosen so they take Allen at 1

If so , we have a possible shot at Josh ,Sam or Baker ??......fingers crossed

Man, imagine if Rosen drops cause of these "rumors" ... saw a mock draft where the Jets would take him

Hopefully the Browns sign Cousins and we trade up to #1.

I think even they did sign Cousins they won't give up the #1 pick...their fans would completely revolt. In that case I see them taking Barkley with the first pick, and then maybe trading the 4th.

Still QB1 in this draft. He's the perfect guy for the Jets. He won't accept mediocrity with this offense. The video has a good story, F the headline

Just listened to an interview with Rosen on NFL radio.
He convinced me football is his passion and he wants to succeed as a football player.

We have to find a way to get him.

I hope all the negative talk about him causes everyone in front of the Jets to pass on him.

The New York Jets must acquire Josh Rosen.

    Mayock on Rosen:

Now apparently, Rosen was a top 10 tennis player in HS, how would this be possible to not be able to escape the pocket? Tennis requires very quick feet.

Maycock is like all the other high profile draft "gurus", more interested in clicks than actual facts. And he, like the rest, have an agenda, which isn't based on accuracy.

If it hasn't already been done, I would love to see an analysis of the track records of these draft "gurus" - how often are they right? I bet it's not too often.

I don’t know why anyone would be surprised about a draft analyst saying that Rosen has a durability issue.

    It’s pretty obvious no?

Mayock has been more wrong then right when it comes to these QBs. He's really good with skill position players.

Rarely are they right, especially after the "Jamarcus Russel" had the greatest pro day of all time thing. Kiper has been wrong on a # of accounts. You'd be surprised, but I see a lot of twitter scouts predicting QB success far better.

Its not the durability, its about his "inability" to avoid pressure.

What seems obvious to me is that Rosen has unshakable belief in his ability to make a play, even when he knows he's going to get crushed. He hangs in the pocket, "knowing" his arm can beat the defense, and he pays a price. He's going to need to change that mindset if he wants to survive, but frankly, given the pounding he's taken, it shows he's MORE durable than a lot of others IMO. That said, if the Jets take him - and I pray they do - they had better vastly improve the OL.

If we go into next season with Wesley Johnson as the starting center, Rosen wouldn't make it half the season.

Yeah some adjustments will need to be made. A man playing tennis, Rosen gotta do a better job moving around in the pocket to extend the play. If I were coaching him up, I would put him through endless pressure drills to make him move around in the pocket and reset his footwork, and make him watch Drew Brees tape all day long. Rosen needs to use his quick feet a little better. If that's the only thing holding him back from being great, I'd say you got a great prospect.

    Agree 100%.

And I hope everyone keeps knocking him so he falls to 6!

As much as I like Rosen, I think immobility is a fair concern. He looks a lot like Eli when the pass rush gets to him; he struggles to move off his spot and is poor at throwing on the run. Darnold, Mayfield and Jackson all seem much more able to play behind bad offensive lines (although Mayfield’s was very good so that’s just speculation based on his escapability)

He may be too much like Kenny O'Brien in that regard. Kenny held the ball too long and while he was bigger than Rosen, he was no more agile, and took a pounding. If Rosen even survives the pounding in the NFL, he could wind up like Kenny with PTSD. I'm not as worried about Rosen's attitude, mindset as I was, but I saw a picture of him in street clothes and he doesn't even look like an athlete. He's too skinny and such a thin frame. He's the best pure passer and smart, but I really don't think I want the Jets to take him, because I don't think he'll last 3 years in the NFL unless he gets behind an all-time great OL. It's a shame. I wish he had Allen's or Darnold's size, but if he did, the Jets wouldn't have a chance to take him.

Mayfield is great at extending plays, and I saw plays in the games I saw where his protection broke down and he had excellent escapability, maneuverability to avoid the rush.
