Thomas is not an upgrade. He is old. Can still contribute. A nice fall back if Jenkins leaves but not over him.
I think Burton with a qb has the potential to be better than Jenkins. Just my opinion. I'd prefer him. Be cheaper but I'd be happy if Jenkins was resigned.
My point was that if ASJ is looking for 6-10M, the Jets can find someone better in that range. Will definitely concede that there are better options than Thomas, but he came to mind because of his low contract. It's just highlights, but he seems legit. Since he's not had a consistent record, perhaps he'd come in at less than 6M/yr?

Jets and Giants C/G Weston Richburg have mutual interest. This would be a great signing. The line immediately gets a lot better. http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/9534/weston-richburg
This would be a great signing. I'd assume he plays G and Johnson stays at C. Now if we sign Cousins and draft Nelson on top of it... wow.
Johnson is a goner. He was awful last year. Richburg should play Center, but his versatility could be helpful if they end up drafting another interior OL
Yep... for some reason I thought we were tied to Johnson for another year. Get him outta here and get Richburg in.
Mike Glennon getting released....he's not special but he might be serviceable in the right system. I haven't seen a lot of his play but he seems steady.
Would much rather have McCown than Glennon. I had some intrigue with Glennon too last year, but he's just shown way too little and flopped big time last year. He'd make sense as a backup for a team with an established starter, but not for the Jets
a year ago everyone was on Glennon's D!!! He goes to a horrendous Chicago team, plays only 4 games and now he's some bum. okkkkayy then
Not sure if he'd be available as a FA or through trade, but I'd absolutely look into the Tyrann Mathieu situation. Jamal is already "recruiting" him as well
